Antique Arts & Crafts Brass and Greek Key Slag Glass Desk Lamp
An antique Arts & Crafts brass and slag glass desk lamp, likely produced around 1910 by the Salo Metal Arts Company. It features a distinctive Greek key pattern along the lower edge of the shade. Arts & Crafts / Mission style. The base and frame are brass, while the shade is made of caramel/amber-toned variegated or “slag” glass panels. The shade has a geometric design with riveted brass panels and an articulated, curved neck, often described as a “banker’s lamp” style due to its functional shape for directing light. Similar lamps with the “Salo” mark have been identified as products of the Salo Metal Arts Company. Excellent condition: See photos.

Bent Panel Caramel Slag Glass Parlor Lamp. Base Signed ML CO 294 (Miller). The 8 diameter base is Spelter with a copper stem (some color loss)(see photos). Rewired new pull chain sockets. 18 1/2 tall to top of the shade. The 6 Bent Panel Shade is 16″ diameter x 10″ tall. The frame is spelter with copper accents. No chips or cracks. In good used as found condition.

It is in working condition, nice patina to the bronze, slag glass panels are in great shape, no chips or cracks. The lamp stands 19 1/2 tall. Both base and shade are marked with company’s logo. This is an awesome fresh estate find! It is an original vintage/antique uranium slag glass table lamp with brass cherub accents and a brass finial. Has 3 slag glass uranium pieces that glow under black light. 2 lights with chain pulls in working order. I dont know if the wiring is original or replaced. Measures 28 to top of finial. The long center piece has 1 area that looks like the corner is shaved? Although it’s smoother rather than rough so Im not sure if this was from the factory or not. Antique Arts & Crafts 18 Panel Caramel Slag Glass Lamp With Lighted Base Miller
Antique Arts & Crafts Hexagonal 18 Panel Caramel Slag Glass Lamp W/ Lighted Base. Very nice antique shape. Shows normal wear and age for a piece of this age. Base has minor paint loss. Lamp overall has some scuffing. Three of the larger shade panels have hairlines or deep scratches as shown. On that same section there is one panel with broken Filigree as shown. One of the base panels has a small chip on the underside. There isn’t any other significant damage that I see. Lamp appears to be in working order. All three lights work, both pull chains work, and switch for the base light works. Chord looks like it is probably newer. I see no damage to it or the wiring. Shade measures roughly 18.5×18.5×8.5″, and lamp is roughly 28″ tall when assembled. I don’t see a signature on it anywhere. From my research it may have been made by Miller. It is a gorgeous piece both lit up, and not lit up. It displays very well. See pictures to make your own determination on physical condition.
