Up for your consideration is a outstanding Antique Mythical dolphin Stained glass slag Hotel Chandelier lamp Very heavy.. Not exactly sure how this thing was mounted.. Obviously missing the chain and electrical ballast… It’s very heavy. Certainly a one of a kind piece. It’s wrapped with mythical dolphins or coy fish. It has paint loss.. I don’t see any cracks in the Stained glass. There is one place where the fish’s fins are supposed to come together, but it looks like it’s either missing or maybe it was meant to be like that. It is kind of a clean brake. This should be seen in the photos… If you need more photos, feel free to reach out. I was told that it most likely came out of a Lake 1800s early 1910s Hotel in South Florida Miami.. It has a really cool Gothic look.. Perfect for a repurpose project. Definitely a statement piece. Measurements are in the photos. I believe that the larger part would have been suspended from the ceiling so that you could see the fish.. Antique Victorian Slag Glass Table Lamp with Night Light 17 Heavy Spelter Metal
Substantial early 20th-century slag glass table lamp featuring a heavy spelter (lead alloy) cast base and paneled shade. The shade and base panels use genuine slag glass with warm amber/caramel tones that illuminate beautifully. The cast metal body shows age-appropriate oxidation and patina consistent with early manufacture. The spelter construction gives the lamp significant weight and a softer, mold-cast character not seen in later reproductions. Electrical components appear to have been rewired at some point in its life with later insulated wiring for safer modern use. Not a lightweight reproduction – this is a heavy, early electric lamp with period construction and materials. Weight: over 10.5 lbs. Vintage antique condition with normal age wear. One shade panel retaining piece is missing (panel still present; noted for accuracy). Surface wear and oxidation to spelter consistent with age. Rewired at some point in its life (not original cloth wiring). Slag glass panels intact with no major cracks observed. Displays well and presents as a solid early electric decorative lamp. This antique slag glass lamp has a shade with 8 bent caramel panels. The shade is a very heavy casting, heavier than most of the panel lamps we have seen. The shade has floral details cast in it that match those on the base. The base and shade both have a gold polychrome finish that is in great condition.
