An Arts Nouveau Green Slag Glass Table Lamp, United States, c. This Lamp would look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. The shade shows stunning filigree details, along with a French Torche motif on each panel. The German Slag Glass is both vibrant and flawless, it looks amazing when illuminated. The Lamp accommodates your standard size light bulb, we’d recommend using newer style LED bulb to enhance the colors in the slag glass. The sculpted base compliments the design of the lamp nicely, the underside is unsigned or marked. Condition: This Lamp is fully tested and works as it should. There aren’t any cracks or chips in the slag glass – It’s mint. Mild surface scratches and areas of patina is shown along the frame and base of the lamp. Two side by side panels are missing areas of the french torch motif – We’ve circled this area in our photo gallery. These missing areas would typically face the back of the lamp. I do not see any maker marks, but looks like Miller. Shows age, wear, patina, staining, light chipping, dings and scratches, a few cracks in glass and filigree metal parts. Up for consideration is this Antique Mission Style Table Lamp with Polygon Caramel Slag Glass Shade, Eagle Finial and Vintage Black Lacquer Base Table Lamp Base. It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. This is another lamp we have married. The Shade was originally part of a double lamp pool table lamp, that we found in Las Vegas, Nevada. There are areas of patina or tarnish (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in any of the slag glass. Please view all photos carefully as they are a part of the item description. Vintage to Antique Brass Table Lamp with Caramel Slag Glass Shade
This lamp is probably from the 1920s to 1930s. It appears to have originally been an electric lamp. When acquired, around the 1960s, the shade had green slag glass, but two panels were broken. All four of the panels were replaced with caramel slag glass. The original lamp base and shaft are fairly light brass, but the heavy shade made the lamp unstable. The brass portions of the lamp were polished and a coat of lacquer applied to protect the finish. The lamp was also rewired at that time. The formed wire supports that hold the lamp shade in place are made of fairly thick copper. The shade rests on the wire supports. The overall size of the lamp is about 20-1/2″ tall and 12″ square (shade). The granite base is 8″ square and 3/4″ thick (not including the cork pad). The brass base of the lamp is 5-3/4″ square and the pyramidal shape is 1-1/2″ high. The vertical shaft is 3/4″ square (not including the wire entry grommet) and 9″ long. The shade is about 7 high. The triangular slag glass panels in the shade are about 11″ wide at the base and 10-1/4″ long on the two sides. There are thin brass straps, each about 1/2 wide, that extend from the shade peak to the center of the base of each panel. Each strap has a brass trefoil decoration (about 1″ wide and 1-1/2″ high) at the center of the panel. The two whole green slag glass panels, as well as the retained broken pieces are included with the lamp. The lamp and shade are in very good condition.
