Rare bird lamp with no damage, other than some paint loss. The slag shade has Handel with a number marked on the inner rim of the shade and it’s in excellent condition. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. That’s huge overall savings folks. This is a very nice looking and designed lamp with lots of detailed filligree throughout. This is a great panel lamp folks and from one of the best makers there ever was in that regard. This is a full sized lamp measuring in at 23 inches tall with the shade being 19.5 inches wide corner to corner. The base recently rewired with proper colored brown cloth cord and nice period style sockets and old style plug and is now in fine working order. The original patina in very nice overall condition throughout on the base as well. The base is signed with the well known B and H triangle logo at the top near the cluster that i photographed best i could which isnt saying much lol. The shade rest and possibly the cap not original to the base. The B and H overlay shade also in excellent original condition throughout. The extensive filligree/overlay without losses or breaks and super strong throughout. The glass free of chips, cracks, or losses of any sort. The shade noticeably very well made and very heavy due to its overall quality. Of course if you would like to pick it up at my location that is welcome as well. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. Arts & Crafts Bigelow & Kennard Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp -Handel Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. Just take a look at this wonderful little lamp that just came in. The cap is also very characteristic of that company. It is absolutely a period 1900′s shade and sure looks like Bigelow & Kennard, but is not signed so I cannot guarantee it. These guys usually signed their shades, so why this one is not signed is unknown. Regardless of this, the shade is just over the top beautiful and has some of the best green/blue glass in any shade I have ever owned. This glass contrasts very well with the floral boarder which reminds me of Tiffany’s acorns and banded florals. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any arts & crafts setting. In terms of size, the shade measures 16″ in diameter and the lamp stands 21″ tall. In terms of condition, I see maybe a crack or two here and there, but nothing serious. There are no replaced pieces and the shade has that nice rattle of an old and original. The base is solid brass (as all Bigelow & Kennard bases were) and is quite heavy and well made. It has its old sockets and matching Bryant shells with Bryant turn keys and has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice original plug. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine. Antique Art Nouveau Bent Slag Glass Lamp Bradley & Hubbard Miller Handel Empire
This is a superb antique panel lamp from the early 1900′s. This is a really nice example and looks to be original shade/base combination. Nice clean patina all around and very detailed, ornate metal work. Original glass in excellent condition with no cracks or damage. This is a recent find from a southern estate. It is not signed that I have found. Previous owners had appraised and identified against loss and it was then attributed to Bradley and Hubbard. Looks to have been rewired and it does work. As with all antique electronics, we recommend you check to your satisfaction prior to use for safety. Nice old copper sockets and ball pulls finish off this beautiful piece.
