The lower apron is wrapped in an ornate, cast-metal foliate filigree overlay featuring molded flower patterns. This design serves a dual purpose: it structurally holds the bottom edges of the glass while embodying the nature-inspired motifs of the Art Nouveau movement. The Base features a heavy, cast-bronze or patinated spelter white metal base decorated with acanthus-style leaves and fluted columns, appears to be a gas-lamp conversion.
