1930′s Art Deco Uranium Slag Glass & Chrome Floor Lamp WORKS ABCO MCM
This piece has been fixed up while keeping the original cord. Both the main lamp light, and base work perfectly. The color swirls in the glass are the UV reactive parts of the glass. The most prominent of which, is the glass ring towards the top of the lamp. The base has visible glow as well, but not as noticeable on camera. Exact year is unknown, but it has the stamp ABCO 066, which is attributed to Houze Glass Company or Point Marion, PA.

Fine Antique American Slag Glass Lamp Caramel with Floral Border Rewired
Fine Antique American Slag Glass Lamp Caramel w/ Floral Border Rewired and Ready for Immediate Use. Our specialties are original period collectibles, with a focus on the French Empire, Art Deco, and Art Nouveau styles. Our paintings and sculptures range from the 17th C. To the modern era, and inspection of our merchandise is FREE in our Roger’s Park (Chicago) private gallery. Up for your consideration is a gorgeous antique slag glass lamp, American, c. I do not know the maker, but the lamp is well-constructed and high quality. The primary color of the shade is caramel, with a floral border. All glass is original, and free of chips, cracks, or damage. The piece measures 22.5″ tall, and the shade is 17″ in diameter. Overall, it weighs just under 15 lbs, so it is heavy, and well made. The shade is in excellent original condition, no damage to the glass, or filigree. There is light surface wear to the base, nothing distracting. It may be bronze, as an inner metal (lead) has been inserted as a “weighted” base. It has recently been rewired, but has a unique issue with one pull chain. It works fine until you release it, and then the socket shuts off. It is from a small plastic piece embedded in the top of the socket, and can be repaired in a minute or two with the right know how. The main point is that the rest of the wiring is sound and had been modernized, this is just a minor socket issue where someone likely pulled it to hard. This quote is for the Continental U. International Buyers — Please Note.
