Antique Slag Glass Pendant Copper And Brass Six Sided
This six-paneled slag glass pendant will class up any home inside or out. The frame and original canopy are copper, while the finials and tassel are brass. The bent slag glass is caramel and isn’t cracked. Each panel is about 10 inches high and about 4.5 inches wide at its widest. We don’t know the date of this light; best estimate is 1940s. The home it was removed from was built in the 1920, but we we don’t know if the light was original to the home. The light has some paint specks that could probably be wiped off. We left this light as we found it to retain its authentic appearance. The finish is a pleasing patina, the type only time can produce. The pendant is missing one of the six top finials, otherwise the light is 100% intact. The top panel is hinged and held by a spring tab; the lower portion swings away to access the bulb. This light has been rewired, but as always you should have a professional electrician inspect and install antique lighting and any lighting for that matter. The slag glass pendant is about 19 inches high. The chain adds 14 inches and the canopy adds 6 inches. Total height is 39 inches but you could shorten this by 12 inches by shortening the chain. Antique Bridge Arm Lamp Arts & Crafts Mission Style Watermelon Slag Glass Shade
We view lamps as more than lighting, we view them as art. As more than a way to brighten a room, a way to brighten ones day. Up for consideration is this Antique Bridge Arm Table Lamp featuring Arts and Crafts Mission Style Watermelon Colors Slag Glass Shade. The shade is old, there are bubbles in the slag glass (see photos). There is one aspect of the lamp that is not antique. The shade had no fitter, only a square entry at top. It took a while to come up with a method, applying it to bridge arm. I used a threaded socket with a threaded screw on collar fitter. It worked perfectly, holding the shade on. It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. Lamp was originally a floor lamp converted to table lamp. There are areas of patina or tarnishing of metal (see photos). Please view all photos carefully as they are a part of the item description. It measures approximately 17 inches from shade other side of base, 9 inches square for shade, 9 inches in diameter for base and 23 inches tall. This also applies to non lower 48, USA locations. Antique Arts and Crafts Table Lamp with Slag Glass Art Deco Shade Handel B&H Era
Here is a gorgeous, masterfully crafted antique table lamp, coming from the era of Handel, Bradley & Hubbard manufactured lamps in style similar to this one. There don’t appear to be markings present on this lamp anywhere, with the underside of the base having a perforated design which looks to have remnants of green felt padding. Handel didn’t always sign his works, though without a certain confirmation we are unsure of who crafted this masterpiece. The body is made from bronze and has a design which is floral in nature. The lamp shade is made from slag glass panels with what looks to be bronze framing to hold everything in place. It has an art deco design over the slag glass, with rather fine, intricate, rather symmetrical designs. This lamp is quite the hefty piece from a sturdy bronze base, and a thick shade. The electrical has been tested on this lamp, it features a standard two prong male plug with a wheel thumb switch, as well as the pull chains for each of the two bulbs. We tested this with 120v bulbs and it worked as intended, with the switch looking to be marked for 125v, appearing to be vintage, though not antique as the electrical was likely refurbished. The shade measures roughly 17 inches in diameter, and 10 inches in depth. The body is roughly 20 inches tall, and measures 7 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. Overall, a gorgeous piece.
