REWIRED Antique B&H Arts Crafts Deco Table Lamp For Slag Stained Glass Shade Vtg
Gorgeous Original Antique Lamp. Signed by Bradley & Hubbard. Working well and freshly rewired with vintage style cloth cord and Bakelite plug. This is a heavy 8.25 pound well-made piece is an original antique by Bradley & Hubbard. The brass sockets are marked with a patent date of 1907. They are made by Bryant and have been taken apart, cleaned inside and out, rewired, tested and are working well. Use the cap on the top of the lamp for holding a reverse painted shade with a hole from approximately 1 1/8 inches up to 1 3/8 inches in diameter, or add any stained glass or slag glass shade on the finial post or a lovely fringed shade would look great! The lamp retains its original paint, with some wear and loss to the paint that reveals the brass and copper below. What shows through gives it a lot of personality and shows that it’s a true antique piece with some nice history! The lamp uses 2 standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts each (or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light). Markings: Bradley & Hubbard Mfg. Pat Appl’d For. Under the felt bottom, the cast iron is stamped either M-99 or W-66. The sockets have Bryant on the switch and stamped on the brass: Pat Nov 26, 1907, Made in U. Slag Glass Folk Art Deco Arts Crafts Antique Lamp Bradley Hubbard Era Handel Era
Antique Vintage Slag Glass Art Nouveau / Deco Lamp Bradley Hubbard Handel Era. It’s so strange it rolls over into very cool. Maker unknown but certainly of the quality of Bradley and Hubbard or Miller or better. This is a such a cool looking lamp and its in fine working order and free of any damage. I highly doubt you will ever see another cause I have been doing this for 30+ years and I haven’t seen one like it plus it’s in excellent original condition. No dings or dents in the base or shade and no filigree losses. The lamp measures 24 inches tall with the shade being 17 inches wide. No breaks in the glass or other damage to report. To bend the glass and get the contours/shape that’s in this shade would be extremely difficult, so this lamp was made by an advanced period maker and not sort of hobbyist, plus the dimensions are spot on versus being in quarter or eighth inches lending to support that this was a purposefully design lamp and not just thrown together. The quality and coloration of the glass is also way way better than average and lights up so nice. Thanks for looking and please check out my other lighting sales and auctions as well.
