Antique Art Nouveau Slag Glass Table Lamp – Empire Lamp Co. “Morning Glory” Shade on Bradley & Hubbard Cluster Base c. A stunning, 100% authentic early 20th-century Art Nouveau bent slag glass table lamp. This heirloom piece features the highly desirable “Morning Glory and Trellis” filigree overlay shade manufactured by the renowned Empire Lamp Company of Chicago, factory-paired with a heavy cast-metal base featuring its original Bradley & Hubbard (B&H) stamped socket cluster. The metalwork on both the shade and the base is unified, antique bronze patina, confirming this lamp has aged together as an original, unaltered unit for over a century. When illuminated, the 8-panel bent slag glass shade casts a warm amber/caramel glow. Design & Hardware Details. (Meriden, CT) – Authentic “B&H” stamped mark visible on the brass cluster. As the title says, this measures approximately 22 inches high. The base is bronze and in the pattern of a tree. The base diameter measures approximately 7 and 3/4 inches. The cord is in great condition, and measures approximately 80 long. I think this takes a three-way bulb, but I’m not sure as I don’t have a three-way bulb to test it. The slag glass lamp shade has a floral pattern and it is approximately 14-1/4″ to 14- 1/2″ in diameter. So it’s not perfectly round. It does have minor scratches here and there and mold marks in the glass pieces that may resemble cracks or damage, but they are not as I have examined them very carefully. Altogether this weighs approximately 8 pounds 12 oz. Please check pictures as they are part of the description. I recycle boxes and packaging materials. I pack with great care. Tested and working with cord and all electrical in good condition. Features a multi color alabaster body with chrome metal base. Upper, lower or both lights on as desired. Lamp is in good condition with no visible damage. Measures approx 7″ diameter at widest point, 18″ tall to top of socket and 28 tall to finial. The lamp features a distinctive multi-colored, swirled glass body-often referred to as slag glass or akro agate-that is characteristic of pieces produced by the Houze Glass Company. Atg Art Nouveau Brass Stamped Miller 1136 Working Lamp Slag Glass 6 Panel Shade
Description: Beautiful Art Nouveau Slag Lamp is done in shades of peach, pink and green. Filigree is complete, no repairs or missing pieces. There are 2 small breaks (see photos). Brass base features original patina, has not been refinished, cleaned or restored. 1 light fixture has been replaced. No missing pieces in the slag panels but there are 2 cracks (see photos). There are 4 holes drilled in the base of the shade, I assume for attaching a chain to hang. Stamped Miller 1136 on the bottom. Lamp stands 23 1/2″ tall and shade is 17″ across. It is working, bulbs are not included. Cord should be replaced as it’s original and probably not up to modern code. Important: Please note the dimensions listed as size cannot be determined based on pictures alone.
