Antique Bent Slag Glass 8 Panel Lamp Shade Bradley & Hubbard Miller Handel. Classic large Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts Era untique 8 panel slag glass lamp shade. The ornate filigree overlay frame has an exquisite design of wide ribs. Each panel is fashioned with oval medallions on the lower frame encasing an urn with an acorn topper. The bottom frame has a stunning Nouveau scalloped rim. It is wonderfully cast and has the original patinated bronze finish. The sculpted overlay is complete with a lovely antique bronze patina finish. It is worn in some areas. The marbleized slags are feautiful and in great condition having no cracks, hairlines , or other defects. The shade measures approximately 19 inches across and approximately 7 inches tall. The base is not marked and the cap opening may have been changed to fit a feniel cap. The 9th photo shows this shade on a lamp base. The base will be listed seperately as the color is not the same as the metal in the shade. This slag glass panel lamp has 8 panels of smooth amber glass. The diameter of the shade is 16″ – 17 1/2″ (side to side , corner to corner). The height of the lamp as shown is 22. The base has two pull chain sockets.. The lamp has a rayon cord typical of the time period. I have shown the lamp lit and unlit. It is all ready to go. Antique Miller Slag Glass Panel Lamp B&h, Handel Era
Here is a rare and very nice antique Miller slag glass lamp with lots of personality. It is a transitional lamp having neoclassical and deco design elements. Accept for the cord and plug it is completely original, down to the signed acorn pull chains. It is a mid sized lamp standing at 17 high to the top of the finial. The eight sided shade is about 5″ tall and 16″ wide from point to point. It weighs 10 1/2 pounds completely assembled. The base is straight, being not bent , cracked, or broken in any way. The gilt bronze garland is complete and undamaged. In addition to the pull chains Miller signed their lamps under the weight on the bottom. I have not disassembled this lamp to check. As you can see the painted finish is in excellent condition having very little wear or deterioration for its age. The original Hubbell porcelain and brass sockets work very well and are wired with modern style cord. The shade frame is straight. It has eight translucent , satin finished, slag glass panels. Seven of the panels are in good original condition. The eighth panel was cracked and has been professionally repaired. In pictures 7,8,9, it is the panel at six o’clock on the bottom of the frame. 10 also features the repaired panel as well. As you can see the repair is barely discernible. At use in my home I have not found the need to turn that side to the wall because it can only be noticed under very close and critical inspection. This lamp will be securely packaged in two separate boxes. I always aim to provide as much information as possible about my items. Signed Royal Arts lamp w/Huge six panel slag glass shade Handel era. If you are looking for a truly original absolutely pristine lamp with shade, this is the one for you. The base and the shade in my opinion, have the original 99% colors. (see pictures, they tell a story). This lamp is approx 23 1/2″ tall to finial with a large 8″ highly colored base. The shade is 19 in diameter and retains almost all of its original colors. This lamp was someone’s baby. The shade appears by color and filigree design to very possibly being a Moe Bridges. There are no breaks in the glass, base or filigree. Although the glass could use a good cleaning, wear commensurate with age. Small inconsistencies in the slag glass here and there as you would expect cosmetic call out. Look at the pictures again, this lamp is amazing! Antique Arts and Crafts/Art Nouvea Daisies Design Rainaud Signe Slag Glass LAMP
This is a beautiful arts and crafts antique six panel slag glass lamp with original painted daisies with green leaves in flower pots hand painted motif and matching base with similar painting. Caramel and beige slag glass is lovely counterpoint to the brown finish on the base and shade. Diameter of shade is approximately 18 in diameter and the lamp stands. Approximately 21″ to the top of the finial and the base is approximately 8″ in diameter. It has original double sockets but only one is working. The other socket is missing the insides. While the lamp looks beautiful with only one working socket, it could be rewired to have two working sockets. The base is marked on the bottom Rainaud Co. #21 as shown in the listing photos. Condition is excellent with no broken panels or missing over-lay. Please view all pictures provided as they are the best description.
