Bradley & Hubbard Brass Oil Lamp with Slag Glass Shade
Bradley & Hubbard Oil Lamp & Shade with overlay designs. Shade features eight cream and white flat slag glass panels which still retain some of the original hand painted highlights. Base has original finish of brass and iron adorned with acorns and oak leaf details. Lamp is all original and has never been electrified. Burner and cap are marked B & H with an 1890 patent date. 24″ tall at chimney x 9″ around, chimney height extends 5 1/2″ above top of shade, the shade is 14″ x 7 1/2. Shade and base are signed, as photoed. Please contact Lefflers Antiques with any questions. If you want to keep the item and have it repaired, an estimate of repair cost will be required. Measuring 23.5 inches tall, this base in original beautiful patina and in fine working order. No breaks, cracks, or damage to be found. It has its original three socket with acorn pulls. Original 1920′s Armor Bronze Lamp by Artist Bonnie McLeary Slag Tulip Shade
A wonderful original Armor Bronze lamp by artist Bonnie McLeary. The paint shows age appropriate wear but still gives a clear indication of it’s once colorful appearance. Besides the paint wear the lamp is in great condition, all the leaves, flowers are intact. It has been rewired with twisted cloth covered cord, new felt added to the bottom. The olive green tulip shade has one cracked pedal. The lamp weights 8 lbs 8oz and is 19 1/2″ tall, 7 /12″ wide, 9 deep. The electric plug can be changed to polarized if desired. Brief history of Bonnie McLeary, estimated life between January 2, 1902 February 2, 1971 was a American female sculptor. McLeary was born in San Antonio, TX. The youngest of four children, at six she began creating sculptures with clay from the banks of the San Antonio river. During WW1 she established a studio in New York City. This is a very nice looking lamp with lots of details. The shade is very well made and very heavy which attributes to the overall quality. Maker unknown but of bradley and hubbard quality for sure. The base also without issue in that it has zero damage to report. No breaks or losses in the metalware and the same goes for the glass in the base as well. My photos are horrible in regards to trying to get a proper photo of the base lit up so bear in mind its much much better than presented. Antique A&R Art Nouveau Bent Slag Panel Glass Lamp & Shade Bradley Hubbard Type
Antique A&R Art Nouveau Bent Slag Panel Glass Lamp & Shade Bradley & Hubbard, Edward Miller, H E Rainaud Type. It is made of a spelter alloy metal with a bronze finish. The shade has flowers with original yellow paint. It measures about 20″ tall to top of finial; the base spelter part alone is 13 1/4″ long and bottom is 7 across. The 6 bent caramel slag panel shade is about 6 1/2″ high and 16 3/4″ wide. Bottom is marked A&R Co with number 00 & 8. The 2 bulb socket cluster is original and marked Bryant with the original pull chains. A&R Co was located at Newark NJ and the lamps are same style and quality as B&H and all the other famous lamp makers. One of the panels has a couple cracks but there are no chips or missing pieces of glass. The metal filagree and base have no cracks or chips, there is some age wear to the finish.
