The item came from clean home where it was cared for and displayed for the enjoyment of others. Unseen before it is now offered for a quick sale. Please ask any questions! Most of these Handel lamps that I have seen out there have periwinkle designs. This one is quite different with a band of red cherry flowers! Nice lamp with lots of color and a super cool design of Handel Co. In that lamp shade used very an expensive slag glass which calls — ” sunset/surise” slag glass. 18″ diameter shade, 22″ tall. I see no cracks, it looks like an excellent condition. The copper wash style base has a beautiful -like finish. It has its original old 3 Hubbell sockets with their original porcelain interiors and acorn ended pull chains. It has been wired with plastic style cord and a nice looking old plug and the lamp comes ready to use and enjoy. Please look at picture # 10— lamp shade signed, has original metal tag “HANDEL”!!! This is a fantastic design from one of the best makers ever and its in excellent original condition. The base emossed with three swimming fish and in original patina throughout. It measures 20 inches tall and is 15 inches wide. Its in all original condition except for the cord as thats been updated with proper period style cloth cord and an inline switch to avoid stress on pulling the socket pulls. No metalware breaks or stress cracks, its in fine working order, and all sockets and pulls appear to be original. No glass breaks or losses in the petals of the shades and all the leading holding the glass together in excellent condition as well. The base stamped with the proper b and h circle logo. It doesnt get any better than that. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. To sell them and not let my inventory sit around for years on end. Thanks for checking this great lamp out and please check out my other great lighting options as well. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves. Please Check out my other items! Some great Bradley Hubbard, Tiffany, Handel, etc. To all potential buyers. Please feel free to. Chances are if there aren’t any, it’s a newer item and you shouldn’t want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it. I have for sale this very nice twice signed handel leaded geometric lamp. Twice signed means both shade and base being properly signed. This is a nice leaded lamp with great color as you can see. The base measures 21 inches tall and the shade is 14 inches wide. The base without issue, which means no metalware breaks or damage and its in fine working order. It has its original two socket cluster with hubbell sockets and acorn pulls and its been recently rewired with correct period style cloth cord and old plug. The patina worn a little bit on the lower portion of the base as would be expected for a 100 year old base. The shade in original condition with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. A few stray tight age cracks, 3-5, here or there as would be expected for a leaded shade such as, especially with the shade having several hundred pieces in the making process such as this. The glass vibrant and alive as the pictures show and all the leading intact. Great glass here folks as handel is well known for with some nice dirt in the striations of the glass. I only used 11 watt bulbs to give you some idea how good the glass lights up. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. These types of lamps are very desired and I think you can see why. What a cool design and great look. Its a smaller lamp and as such more multi purpose. The base measures 9 inches tall and has no damage or issues. Its got its original patina throughout and its in very nice condition. The base without damage of any kind and in fine working order. It’s been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord. The shade measures 7 inches wide and its 5 inches tall. The shade in very nice overall condition and has no glass breaks or cracks and the filligree all in place and also without losses. The shade not out of round at all and the glass would be made Murano but the Murano sticker long gone. All glass holding tabs accounted for as well. The original miniature signed hubbell socket still in place with its acorn pull and in fine working order. The shade very sturdy and well constructed, and all in all, a very nice and fairly rare Bradley and hubbard lamp. This lamp without reserve. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three.
