Tiffany Studios Leaded Slag Glass Acorn Shade, Rookwood Pottery Lamp Base
Up for you consideration’this season is an immaculate Tiffany Studios Rookwood Pottery Lamp, circa 1915. It has been in our family for over 60 years, brought to joy to us with its soft lights, craftsmanship and details. Being passed down from my Great Grandma, it needs a new home to continue its journey. As they say, a new end, a new beginning. About lamp shade: – it was made as ,, Acorn design. Very good to an excellent condition with a few if any heatline cracks, slightly dirty with of course commensurate to age. Signed on an edge with label ,, Tiffany Studios New York 1435. Total size of lamp is 21 1/2 inches tall by 16 inches in diameter. The lamp base has metal cluster with three ,, Hubbell sockets with original pull chains and finials, also original pierced heat cup — all metal parts of the lamp base have a nice dark brown patina. Lamp base (pottery part has no damage). It was recently rewired by electrician with time period cloth wire and plug. Please ask any questions. Chicago Mosaic Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Acorn Lamp Handel Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a really cool and I believe fairly rare Chicago Mosaic acorn boarder lamp. Very neat two-tier design with great acorn and oak leaf boarder. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, but will note that the glass is all original and there are maybe 4 or 5 small cracks in the whole shade. The shade is 18 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stands 25″ tall. The shade is supported on a better than average 4-footed Chicago Mosaic base which retains its original dark green finish, original sockets, cap and finial. Chicago Mosaic lamps are fairly common, but I have only seen a few of these with this design. If you have ever wanted a very nice and unusual example of one of these, this may be the one for you. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times.
