Wilkinson Leaded Slag Stained Glass Floral Lamp Handel Duffner Tiffany Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a really nice looking and early floral lamp by Wilkinson. The reason I say early is due to the use of curved glass in the shade, which was done earlier on. This pattern with the floral border is fairly common in Wilkinson, but the later versions have all flat glass. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, and from them you can see the multicolored floral apron with a brickwork upper part. This is a full sized and very impressive leaded floral lamp with a 18 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 24″ tall. Its in excellent, all original condition and appears to have been very well cared for in its over 120 year life! I see maybe 2 or 3 cracks here and there throughout the shade (which is itself pretty remarkable), and no repairs or replaced pieces. The use of bent glass and really thin lead lines attests to the quality of this maker and really adds to the beauty of the lamp. The base is super heavy and has a wonderful dark brass colored finish. It has all of its original hardware and has recently been rewired with period style cloth braided cord. Wilkinson made some really great lamps and because of the bent panels in this one, I’d say it is one of their better early floral ones. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine.
Arts Crafts Leaded Antique Vintage Slag Glass Lamp Bradley Hubbard Handel Era
That’s huge overall savings folks. Thanks for looking and please check out my other lamps as well. I have for sale this super nice American leaded slag glass lamp. Maker unknown but certainly in the same quality level as Bradley and Hubbard or Lamp Brothers and Greene or Chicago Mosaic. This is not a reproduction lamp by any stretch. This is a very very nice lamp folks so pay attention lol. This lamp is in very good overall condition. The base in very nice original condition and patina and presents itself very well as you can see. It’s in an arts and crafts style and has been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord. The lamp is in fine working order. There is no damage at all to report in regards to the base. The shade in an uncommon yet very desirable parasol design with great quality and colored glass. I see no signs of any outright blatant damage nor repairs just a few tight ages lines/cracks here and there, please see photos in total maybe 5-7 out of however 100′s of pieces of glass. These lines do not detract at all in regards to the presentation of the lamp either out or unlit, and will still be in place a 100 years from now. I only mention them for accuracy sake. The leading tight and right throughout and no loose glass pieces/segments. No signs of previous repair as well. This has been a well maintained lamp for the past 100+ years. This is a full sized lamp measuring in at 22. Inches tall with the shade being 19.5 inches wide. What i especially like about this lamp is that no other period makers designed anything like this, therefore it stands out from the crowd. The glass coloration, the base, the design, the sizing, all unlike other makers and to me thats what makes the difference between average and outstanding and uniquely (no pun intended) different. Charles Parker (attr.) Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp Handel Tiffany Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. Take a look at this really unusual and highly colorful leaded lamp that I believe was made by Charles Parker. There isn’t a lot of information out there about this company, but I have owned a few of their lamps (mostly overlays) and this certainly has all of the characteristics of that company. I will my pictures do most of the talking here, and from these you can see the wonderful bright colors and designs in this fantastic lamp. What is unusual about this one is the use of almost all bent glass which is more difficult and was more costly to do since it involved bending the pieces before assembling them. Te glass is all granite backed as well which really makes it fire when lit. In terms of size, the shade measures 17″ in diameter and the lamp is 22″ tall. In terms of condition I see no cracks or chips in the glass panels which means this one was very well cared for. The wonderful floral petal themed triple stem. Base has a beautiful copper colored finish that looks perfect with the shade. It is marked with what I believe is the Charles Parker symbol and the model number 1709. This is a very nice, rare and quite beautiful example of one of Charles Parker’s lamps that would stand out in any setting. Here’s a really nice matching set of 6 original acorn pull chains. This is a very nice set with beautiful dark copper patina. Perfect for your higher end lamp or chandelier. When you consider the cost of the shade and base you are using these on, its really not that much more for the quality look of authentic acorn pulls.
