It has a lovely warm glow that will give your home a soft, welcoming atmosphere. The lamp is in excellent original condition. It has one minor crack shown in the last picture and a couple of hairlines that are barely noticeable. The lamp has been rewired at some point and works well. Measurements: Glass is 18″ wide by 6″ tall, and the lamp is 23″ tall with an 8″ wide base.
Antique Neoclassical Bridge Arm Table Lamp Beige Bent/Curved Slag Glass Shade
We view lamps as more than lighting, we view them as art. As more than a way to brighten a room, a way to brighten ones day. Up for consideration is this Rare Antique Neoclassical Bridge Arm Table Lamp with Marble and Slag Glass and Beige Curved/Bent Slag Glass Shade. If you are wondering, yes, shade was changed… It is in very good to excellent antique condition. The cord is relatively short and an extension cord might be needed. It was originally a floor lamps but not this one. It has a standard size lamp core pipe. I used conversion pipe fitter for bridge arm attachment. There is a split in the spacer at base, but it does not affect form, fit or function (see photos). There are areas of age related chipping and fading of the paint (see photos). There are areas of patina or tarnishing of the metal (see photos). There are areas of light chipping of marble and slag glass spacer (see photos). There are no broken or cracked slag glass. Please view all photos carefully as they are a part of the item description. It measures approximately 16 inches from shade other side of base, 6.4 inches in diameter for shade, 10 inches square at base and 26 inches tall. This also applies to non lower 48, USA locations. Antique Carmel Slag Glass 8 Panel Shade & Lamp withOrnate Brass Trim Overlay
This is a vintage or actual antique flower design slag glass table lamp featuring a beautifully crafted 8-panel Carmel glass shade with an intricate brass trim overlay and a 3 vertical apron with a floral pattern. The large slag panels have a creamy, marbled finish. The panels are secured with tabs on the inside. The brass trim is ornate, with detailed floral and leaf motifs. The heavy brown painted spelter lamp base is also ornate with elaborate carvings. The lamp has two sockets with individual pull chains and the electrical cord was replaced at some point (although the plug appears older). There are no markings on the lamp base or shade that I can find. Lamps of this style were made by. Bradley & Hubbard, Edward Miller Co. And others, so it could be an original or a good reproduction. The lamp is clean and in good condition with minor signs of wear consistent with its age including some peeling paint on the base and cap / shade attachment parts. The steel bottom of the lamp base is corroded with some remnants of paper still attached. The glass panels show some light scratches and other minor mars. See photos for exact condition. The lamp measures approximately 22″ tall with a shade diameter of 16-1/2″. The lamp with base and shade is a very hefty 19 lbs!
