It features socket based pull chain switch. The shade is very rare, alone worth almost list price. It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. It was originally a floor lamp. There are areas of patina or tarnish (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in slag glass shade. It measures approximately 15 inches front of shade to back of base on back side as shown in gallery photo, 4.75 inches in diameter for shade, 7.5 inches square at base and 23.5 inches tall. French Antique Art Nouveau Winged Cherub Angel Lamp Slag Glass Shade Purple. This gorgeous cherub lamp is in a classic French style with charming cherub holding the light. The base has a bronze/gold colored look and is in great shape. The cherub has a white spot on the head but is minor and shown in photos. This lamp needs rewired. I don’t test lights this old because I have been shocked too many times. So let’s assume it doesn’t work. It has two light sockets and takes a standard bulb. The shade is missing one piece of slag glass. But the edges are bent and therefore do not sit perfectly flush. This lamp is in need of a collector’s touch or expert’s repair. LG Vintage French Empire/Gothic Marble Palace Patio Floor Lamp-Slag Glass Style
It has a very heavy rouge/caramel streaked marble column that co-ordinates well with the palace patio light from both a color and design standpoint. The lamp is in very good condition with only a repair to the backside of the palace patio frame….. The lamp is very tall at just over 6 feet while the base is 10 square.
