I have for sale this very nice arts and crafts style leaded floral geometric lamp. Its a full sized lamp measuring 22 inches tall with the shade being 17 inches wide. The base without damage of any sort and in fine working order. Its also wired with the early period cloth cord. The shade also in equally nice condition with solid leading throughout and no damage to report. The glass quality excellent and its also rippled on the inside. No losses or damaged areas to mention and it lights up very very well. Maker unknown but of quality for sure. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. To sell them and not let my inventory sit around for years on end. Thanks for checking this great lamp out and please check out my other great lighting options as well. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Sorry to do this and I hope you will stay on as fine and loyal customers. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. If you live in the following radius or just outside it, we should communicate about not using a major carrier, so it has a better chance of survival and minimizing damage or a damage claim as well. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it. I have for sale this very nice twice signed handel leaded geometric lamp. Twice signed means both shade and base being properly signed. This is a very nice leaded lamp and its in excellent overall condition. The base measures 23 inches tall and the shade is 18 inches wide. The base without issue, which means no metalware breaks or damage and its in fine working order. It has its original three socket cluster with hubbell sockets and acorn pulls and its been recently rewired with correct period style cloth cord. Its also in excellent original patina throughout. The shade in excellent original condition with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. The glass vibrant and alive as the pictures show and all the leading tight and right throughout. Great glass here folks as handel is well known for with some nice dirt in the striations of the glass. The shade well made with the leading showing no signs of weakness nor losses. The shade signed with a handel tag on the lower border and the base signed on the bottom with old cloth tag on felt bottom. So when I see your offers, I have to subtract those costs to get to my net. The costs can be up to 250.00 per item depending on the final price. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. This one is a pretty unique design. I’ve never seen this pattern before. Not sure who made it, but it is a well made piece. Overall it is in very good condition, however it does have a few issues. The 3 sockets and the electrical cord have been replaced with newer units. This is relatively common on these old lamps. One of the glass panels was broken in half when I received it and I repaired it with silicone. It is hardly noticeable(see photos). Also, a small piece of the detail on the outer rim of that panel has been broken off (see photos). The next panel over is missing the 2 metal tabs to hold the glass in at the bottom. Again, the silicone did a marvelous job of holding it in place. These issues are all very minor and don’t detract from the beauty or functionality of the lamp at all. It stands about 22 1/2 tall. The shade is about 16″ in diameter and the base is about 8″ in diameter. This will be a great addition to someone’s décor or collection!!
