Vintage 1920′s Bradley & Hubbard Slag Glass Panel Lamp, Excellent
VINTAGE 1920′S BRADLEY & HUBBARD SLAG GLASS. Available for your consideration is this very handsome early 1900′s slag glass panel lamp by the famous Connecticut lamp maker Bradley & Hubbard. Both the shade and base are B&H. Shade is made with 8 panels of slag glass. Has beautiful and complete filigree sides. Shade is supported and held in place by 4 bronze or brass arms. Base is bronze in color and decorated with a classical column above an elegant and simple base foot. Foot is decorated with leaves with berries surrounded with raised dots. Lamp features a single Hubbell socket with acorn pull. Shade is signed on 2 sides along with the B&H Triangle. Base signed and numbered on the bottom. Only pictures can do this lamp the credit due, take a good look. Aside from being re-wired at some point, it appears to be in original & excellent condition! Panels are in excellent condition for their age and crack free. Filigree sections are in excellent condition with a nice patina and free of breaks. Base and arms are elegant and in great antique condition with a fantastic patina. Base foot is ast iron covered by sheet brass or bronze. It lamp measures approx. 19 inches tall, 14 1/4 inches wide & the base is 8 inches in diameter. It’s a beautiful old lamp & casts a welcoming warm glow when lit.
