This is a large lamp with the base measuring 26 inches tall and the shade being 20 inches wide. There is no damage at all to the base and or shade. The base retaining its beautiful Hubbell sockets and acorn pulls that are also in fine working order. A supercool arts and crafts style base for sure. Although the base is unsigned, this is a well known and well documented base for sure. As for the floral shade, that is also in very nice overall condition. Incredible quality glass and a richly colored throughout and as you can see it lights up so well. No damage to report which means no broken, cracked, or lost glass segments and all the leading tight and right. The shade signed Handel in the top ring. All in all simply a great arts and crafts style Handel lamp, in very nice overall condition, that you dont have to pay a 20-30% buyers premium on top of so you cant beat that. Leaded Stained Slag Glass Floral Table Lamp, circa 1910, s from late Art Nouveau or Arts & Crafts time period. The lamp shade has 18 inches in diameter with original soldered heat cap. I made all pictures with day lights, flesh and without lights to show how is so nice blooming flowers looking! I see only a few (3-4) heat line cracks. The lamp base has 25 inches tall including finial and signed under bottom of the base (please look last picture). The lamp base has a very nice original greenish patina and three old sockets with pull chains and finials. In very good working condition. Please ask any questions and please look at my other items. 1920s ART NOUVEAU BOUDOIR LAMP With SLAG GLASS SHADE
This 1920s Art Nouveau boudoir lamp is made of heavy cast metal with a cast iron harp. The six-sided shade frame is heavy cast metal with crisp designs. The lamp has been restored in nutmeg & tan with gold accents. The slumped slag glass panels are white with pale honey swirls. All slag glass panels are original & are in excellent condition with no cracks. One panel has a tiny corner chip that is hidden by the frame. The lamp stands 14 tall and is 7 at the widest. The base is 5 in diameter. Original Bryant socket is rewired with a new repro grounded wall plug & cloth covered cord. It weighs 4 3/4 lbs. Light bulb not included. Antique Whaley Leaded Slag Stained Glass Priarie Table Lamp Handel Duffner Era
I have had a few inquiries since I ended these last week, so here you go. I have used this sore for many years and they do a very nice job with packing. Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. While I hesitate to assign a maker there, I do believe this to be a J A Whaley prairie style leaded glass table lamp. It is a very cool and very well made lamp with a very nice geometric design in a flat prairie style or pagoda looking form. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any setting. The shade is composed of deep caramel white pieces mixed with dark green ones to give off just the right amount of contrast. The glass is just beautiful and the design is totally arts & crafts. In terms of size, this is a standard sized table lamp with a 16 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 20 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition, I see one or two small cracks, but nothing serious and no replaced pieces. The lobed form base is why I believe this to be a Whaley lamp, but neither it nor the shade is signed so the true maker may never be known. What it is is a 100% old and authentic lamp, from the early 1900′s, in fine original condition. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. J A Whaley is not as well known as Duffner or Handel, but they made some awesome lamps and this is one of them! If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine. Handmade Mission Style Slag Glass Table Lamp Arts & Crafts Decor
This is finely handcrafted table lamp, a great period piece handmade “Mission Arts and Craft” from oak wood and opaque pressed green slag with streaks of white glass lamp. Looks great when lit up and for the age of lamp in excellent condition. The glass is slag with green with hues of white. There are 2 small cracks in the green slag glass which is in one of the panels of the base. The solid oak wood is very thick and the lamp has a solid base. The wood was perfectly stained to bring out the beautiful oak and shows a very nice oily build up on the wood that also, shows the age of this lamp. There is a chip it the wood at the top of the shape. It is a large lamp heavy and well built lamp. No other major scratches, dings, or dents. The switch appears to be a old rocker type switch, the lamp works and it has one bulb with old type light socket. The wood shade is approx. 18″ across at it’s widest it stands 21″ tall and the base is approx. The item is stored in my storage unit in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
