Huge Vintage Stained Glass Rose Design Ceiling Light 24
Wow wow wow what a beautiful hanging light this is. Was in old Victorian home my grandparents owned. Has been in storage since the early 80s. Has fixture and part of chain attached but wiring looks old. In incredible shape with only one flaw on one of the top pieces. Antique Charles Parker Leaded Slag Stained Glass Banded Red Rose Table Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a beautiful banded red rose leaded lamp that I believe to be made by Charles Parker. Super look with deep red flowers, brown stems and green leaves against a pale caramel background. I will my pictures do most of the talking here, and from these you can seethe very elegant and well thought out design of this beautiful lamp. This is a full sized table lamp with an 18 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 23 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition, I see only one or two minor hairlines…. The shade is just as beautiful and perfect as the day it was made. The pot metal base has a nice floral design as well. It is heavy and sturdy but much of the brass wash finish has gone away over the years. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. Neither the base nor the shade is signed, and Charles Parker is my best guess as the company that made it. It is a wonderful, antique, 1920′s era lamp in very fine overall condition. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. The Miller Co. Antique 1920′s 6 Panel Slag Glass Rose Filigree Design Lamp
6 Panel Slag Glass Rose Filigree Design Lamp #236. A Rare and beautiful find in working condition. This lamp measures 23 1/2 tall from base to top of finial. Diameter of the base is approximately 7 1/2. It weighs 13 1/2 pounds! There are no cracks on the base. It has two sockets, which both work. The chain is short on one of the sockets so a piece of string was added. The other socket chain is missing the little ball on the end. It looks like the original color, which is a vintage bronze. There is a handsome Patina to it, which can only occur over time. Under the base reads, MLCO 236, which translates to The Miller Co. This indicates that the lamp was made some time after 1924, which means this lamp is nearing Antique status in a few years. The 6 slag glass panels have no cracks. They are a creamy butterscotch color. The lamp shade measures. 15 1/5 in diameter and is roughly 9 1/2 high. The delicate Rose filigree is in excellent shape, given its age. There are few flaws, one being a minor piece which is loose, BUT is still attached (see pics). One other flaw is on the top where there are two cracks. These do not affect the integrity of the lamp and they should be straightforward to fix. The tabs that keep the slag glass attached to the shade are all still there. There is one that worked it’s way into the wrong position which is an easy fix. There is also a missing “ball” on the skirt. Again minor, but should be pointed out. The lamp could use a good cleaning. It has sat in their home for many years. The Rose filigree is amazing, intricate and delicate. The glass is stately as is the base with its rich patina. This truly is a statement piece by one of America’s finest and oldest lamp manufacturers. It’s an early American piece of art, with an interesting history. Something which is becoming more and more scare to find in very good. Would look amazing, on a credenza, in a foyer or in most any room in your home. ORIGINAL Handel Red Rose Trellis Leaded Slag Stained Glass Overlay Table Lamp

It is a shame that I even have to emphasize that this is an ORGINAL Handel overlay lamp, but the fact of the matter is that there are copies out there….. Those who sell these state they they are Handel lamps and many (if not all) are even signed. Pay close attention as to how it is advertised. Now that I have said my peace on this matter, if you are interested in an all original and absolutely beautiful example of a Handel rose trellis lamp, this may be the one for you. What is particularly great about this lamp is the glass they used. Most were done in simple caramel, white or yellow, but this particular example is done with a mix of deep red/purple/blue glass. The effect is to really enhance the roses and even the green leaves. It is truly an amazing example! I will my pictures do the rest of the talking here, and from these you can see the very elegant and well thought out design of this beautiful lamp. This is a full sized table lamp with an 19 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 23 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition, there are no cracks, breaks, or even pieces of filigree missing and the shade is just as beautiful and perfect as the day it was made. The shade is signed with a Handel tag as shown. The tripod form base is all original with a great reddish patina that highlights the roses extremely well. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. If you have ever wanted a truly remarkable example of a Handel rose trellis lamp, this is the one for you.
