Pair Antique Panel Lamp Swag Overlay Slag Glass wired Boudoir 17.5 h
Up for consideration is an antique pair of boudoir lamps with wonderful original swag overlay. They stand about 17.5 inches in height and have old but functioning wiring. Each shade has 4 panels of carmel slag glass which of course vary slightly in color and saturation. Please understand the lamps lit are super one has colored bulb the other does not. Vintage Slag Glass Hanging Oil Light Fixture Brass Tone Swag Hurricane Lamp. This is a vintage reproduction of an antique oil lamp fixture. Base is metal that is brushed antique brass. Long cord and chain, cord is taped at one point where I believe the previous owner extended it.

Please review all pictures for overall condition and size, as this forms the overall condition/description of the item. Wear is consistent with age and use. The cord was VERY worn and not safe to use, so we cut it. We kept the old plug for it and are including it (pictured). Pull chains are stuck, has scratches, marks, light rust, etc. The bottom has a cover welded or brazed on. Looks like it has been painted black possibly. The metal is either iron or spelter, possibly some brass/Bronze used in areas. It is hard to tell, we see some metallic color under the paint and we see brass/Bronze coloring. It also have very nice weight to it, heavier than it looks. Was possibly “Bronzed” at one point but got worn and then maybe someone painted it. Has some nice age, we believe early 1900s, around 1915. It is a great project lamp, it would look great restored. We believe the heavy Tiffany, Handel style slag/stained glass shades go to it. Measurements are in the photos/details. Haven’t found any names or makers marks on it. Please message us with any questions, we respond fast. Vintage Stained Slag Glass Brass Swag Lamp Large Chimney Lighting 48 Panels! . This piece is gorgeous! It could definitely use a light cleaning but nothing major. The body of this piece and in between the glass panels are brass. The slag shade is large measuring 16 in in diameter by approximately 9 in tall and the top opening is 6.25 in in diameter. The shade sits perfectly on the two tabs of the base. The chain can be adjusted to longer or shorter. Currently it measures 25 inches long, comes with wiring for installation, the wiring looks to be vintage so I’m not quite sure if you’ll want to leave it or change it out. Out it’s completely up to you. This is a two-way switch so the top light lights up and then there is a light at the bottom of the base so you can have both on. You can also have light coming out of the bottom. If you put it over a table like a kitchen table. Someone put tape around the base of the chimney so that it’s holds firmly inside. Otherwise these can get kind of wobbly, the chimney is rather large measuring 12 in tall and and it’s midsection approximately 6 inches in diameter. Shade on you can’t even see it. This is a very ornate piece that at one time must have been in oil light converted now to electric. This must be hard wired in. The slag panels which there are 48 of are a mixture of solid white and clear with white swirls. Very very pretty, no cracks or chips on the panels. I have inspected them all.
