RARE- Antique Red, Gold Slag Glass Arts & Crafts/Mission Lamp early 1900′s
Rare and beautiful, from my parents estate I offer for your consideration this wonderful large mission arts and craft table lamp. It is a large lamp The shade measures approximately 12 inches from top to bottom, approximately 22 inches wide and the base of the lamp is 16 inches tall not counting the four wooden holders that holds the lampshade. The lamp is in very good shape for its age. I see that it had been rewired for there is a new socket on the lamp. The slag glass is in really nice shape. A long the rim of the shade you have a heart shaped in the center with smaller openings for slag glass. There are tiny cracks, on the four sides. You have to look real hard to find them. This is truly a beautiful mission Arts and craft styled lamp. Please look at all pictures very closely for they are part of the description. This RARE, GORGEOUS & LARGE Antique Vintage Blue and Caramel Slag Glass Lamp with Light Up Base measures 25.5″ tall, 21.25″ from corner to corner across the shade, and is very heavy. You can compare the LARGE size to the soda can next to it. It is a 3-way lamp meaning that you can light up both the top and the bottom at the same time, just the top, or just the bottom depending on the mood that you are looking to set. You can light up each top bulb individually by pulling the chains down. To light up the base, push down the switch on the bottom. To turn it off, pull up the switch and push it down again. RARE Lamb Brothers&Greene Co. Chicago, Leaded Caramel Slag Stain Glass Table Lamp
“RARE” Authentic Genuine Lamb Brothers & Greene Co. Chicago, c1900 Leaded Caramel Slag Stain Glass Table Lamp. The circular base is copper plated spun sheet brass in a deep brown patina-the base has some wear and scratches due to use and age. The base supports a three socket cluster witch -2 are Hubbell sockets with acorn chain pull strings and one has been replaced and is not working which needs adjustments(this is the only part that has been replaced and the rest of the lamp is all original). The heat cap is spun brass with acorn finial. The shade is lead filled caramel color slag glass with insertions of red stain glass jewels. There are 3 pieces of the slag glass that has slight heat cracks in the caramel glass. All of the slag glass is surrounded with lead and very secure and solid in place(nothing is loose). MEASURES: The shade- 17 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ Pole- 22″ x 9″ Complete lamp from top to bottom- 27″ x 17 1/2″. ALL ORIGINAL EXCEPT ONE SOCKET! We have taken more then 12 pictures which 12 is the amount aloud. Antique B&H Art Deco Art Nouveau Slag Glass Lamp with Rare 4-Arm Spider Frame
For Your Consideration. Antique Bradley and Hubbard Art Deco/Nouveau Slag Glass Lamp with Spider Frame. This truly beautiful B&H Slag Glass Lamp features a unique “spider” frame – 4 solid arms upon which the shade rests. The 8 panel shade is a creamy beige and white slag glass, and each panel is snugly held in place by the hooks on each individual piece/section. The ornate design on the shade is Art Deco or even Art Nouveau, and is intricately stunning. The base is solid and marked on the bottom side with the number 200. The cord is extra long and in excellent shape. There are no flaws or issues other than some normal aging (base has a slightly worn area as pictured) and there appears to have been a repaired crack on one panel near the thinnest end. I pictured it close up from the inside and the outside, but its barely noticeable from the inside and unnoticeable from the outside. I just wanted to disclose it as when I run my finger over it I can feel it was glued or somehow repaired. It’s about half inch long and the width of a human hair – very thin and very fine. I examined the lamp time and again and I can say its otherwise perfect. I especially love the spider frame as it lends sturdiness to the overall piece and plus, it’s so unique. The light thrown from the lamp is calming and lovely – like stepping back in time; more than 100 years back! The measurements are 22″ Tall from the base to the top of the filial, and the shade is 14.5″ wide in diameter. Beautiful antique rare Judson Studios large glass slag shade with b ronze top crown handle, and construction mold, we most recently acquired this piece from an an estate mansion in san francisco, CA that was filled with rare treasures, this particular piece was displayed as a center show piece. Origin: Judson studios, los angeles, CA. Period: 1900 – 1910. Condition: very good solid condition, there is (3) issues. (1) Glass plate is cracked, and (2) glass plates need to be replaced. These issues do not alter the beautiful character of this piece whatsoever. 22h x 29w x 29d. Construction Materials: glass, bronze, lead. RARE Duffner & Kimberly Arts & Crafts Shell Form Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a rare and beautiful example of Duffner & Kimberly’s work. I believe it is referred to as the “shell” lamp or a “medallion” lamp, but whatever the name you can see by the sheer quality and attention to detail that this is one of Duffner’s great lamps. Just look at how great the workmanship is on the “shells”. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here but will note that the shade is 19 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stands 22 1/2″ tall. I see maybe 5 or 6 small cracks throughout the shade, but nothing serious. Adding to the greatness of this lamp is its solid bronze, fully signed (see stem picture), base with matching gold wash finish. The base is 100% original right down to the bottom plate. It has the nice long Hubbell sockets with their original interiors and acorn pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice looking plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. Lamps like from Duffner & Kimberly do not come up all that often and I can honestly say that you won’t find one in as nice or in as original condition as this one.
