Antique Art Nouveau Purple Rounded Curved 4 Panel Slag Glass Painted Metal Lamp
Such a beautiful lamp!!! As found, Absolutely gorgeous purple/lavender slag glass from the late 1800s to early 1900s. From the art nouveau period. This lamp is Antique and the FOUR Purple Slag Glass panels are CURVED. This would be beautiful as a Boudoir Lamp or really anywhere as an accent lamp. Glass is in perfect original condition. The cord has been replaced as well as the harp. There is a little paint loss to the hard metal (not lead) which is common in a lamp this old and adds to the antique charm. The light bulb is not included. THESE PICTURES ARE NOT ENHANCED!!! This is how the lamp looks in natural light streaming in from my window, both on and off. This lamp stands – 11.5 inches high. Antique Purple Slag Glass Lamp/beautiful Scenic Overlay
ANTIQUE PURPLE SLAG GLASS LAMP/BEAUTIFUL SCENIC OVERLAY. This outstanding example stands 22 1/4 tall, the shade is 141/2 wide. The base is 6 1/2 wide. It is is in overall excellent condition. I tried to capture the beautiful purple color but was unable to capture it. The lamp is extremely heavy , the cord and plug are good and was probably rewired at one point and a newer socket was used. If you are looking for a statement lamp , this is it! There are some numbers or letters on the base which I cant read. Similar to G-15-16 but has a different connector. Catalog describes it as maroon. Most would call it purple. See page 71 of Courters book. Has numerous nicks here and there but nothing major. Ive only seen a handful of these and the glass seems to have been prone to bubbles, causing the majority of the imperfections as seen in last three pictures. Set of Antique Purple Slag Glass Lamps
Beautiful matching set of 3 vintage slag glass table lamps. I’m unsure of the metal used but it’s a softer metal, I believe it’s lead or a pot metal. The metal bases and shades are pliable so they can be shaped. They are not perfectly symmetrical. One of the matching pair of lamps is slightly leans to one direction. This can be addressed by reshaping the somewhat pliable base if wanted otherwise it has quite a bit of character AS-IS. The metal tabs are folded over to hold the glass panels in place. These fold very easily. The glass is a purple with lavender streaks, depending on the lighting. All 3 lamps work as they should, the tall one was recently rewired due to damaged cord. They can be lighted on top, bottom or both. 6 panels above and 4 panels below. Tall lamp measures approx. 17-1/2″ H x 15″ W, base measures: 6″ x “6In. The matching pair measures approx. 13″ H Shade: 11″ x 9In. Each base measures: 5.5″ x 5.5″In. These lamps will likely be mailed in 3 boxes but thats to be determined.
