ART DECO THICK SLAG GLASS LALIQUE STYLE SAUCER LIGHT HANGING CEILING LAMP 1930′S. DESIGN: A dramatic and impressive Art Deco Modern Lalique Style Slag molded Saucer shaped form hanging ceiling lamp designed and manufactured circa 1930′s. The thick, hefty glass saucer 5 lbs. Shade is designed in the same manner as the deep dimensional patterned frosted glass designs found in similar Lalique glass lighting examples from the same era. The thick liquid-like outer texture hanging glass disk has a pebble-like inner frosted texture with a faint sparkly gold tint overall with a slightly darker outer ring halo, this is a unique use of the new art glass technique details found only in the highest end lighting fixtures of the period. CONDITION : This impressive hanging lamps is in exceptional lightly used overall original condition completely intact, fully functional and ready for any hardwired installation. No real signs of any long term usage, wear or blemishes to the glass or hardware aside from some small edge dings and tarnish spots to the Brass plated ceiling canopy. The sockets and wiring are original and all have been inspected & tested to be clean, safe and functional. The hardwiring bracket is intact behind the ceiling canopy for easy installation in most applications. DIMENSIONS: The lamps general shade dimensions are 14.5″ diameter width X about 3″ deep weighing a hefty 6 lbs, the overall complete hanging length is around 12 long.
