Beautiful vintage slag glass lamp. This piece has a great look to it and measures roughly 18″ tall by 13.75″ wide. One of the panels has a missing corner of glass. Im not sure of the exact age of this piece The metal feels rather soft possibly pewter. There is some surface wear from age which is to be expected. Antique Arts and Crafts Slag Glass Table Lamp with Lighted Base
Antique Arts and Crafts Slag Glass Lamp With Lighted Base. This anituqe lamp is in very good original condition with some age related wear. One of the panels of the shade had cracked and was repaired. The repairs were done well and the cracks are only noticeably when looking closesly at that panel (see photo #10). Two of the tabs holding one of the panels in place broke off leaving the panel to be a bit loose in the shade and creating a gap (see photo # 11). The best fix for this is to solder in a new metal tab to secure this panel. One of the socets has been replaced at some point so one of the chains is different and hangs lower than the other with a differnt style end piece. Aside from these defects, the lamp is in very good shape, complete, and original. The base panels are in very good condition with no breakage. All shade panels are in good condition with no breakage except for the one in photo #10. The lamp has an older cord, but inside the base it has a very old cloth cord with some frays in it. This cord needs to be addressed by a competent electrician before using this lamp. Both sockets work properly as does the light inside the base. The lamp meausures about 22″ tall with an 18″ diameter shade. These antique slag glass table lamps have so much character and make a great addition to a home. This is an authentic and functional piece. Before use you will need to have a competent electrician rewire it. This is an easy job for a competent electician and necessary as there is old cloth electrical cord with some frays present. This poses a fire and shock risk. Feel free to ask me any questions about this great lamp. As stated, the lamp needs to be rewired by a competent electrician for safe and reliable use despite the fact that is is currently working as is. Measures overall 19 1/2tall. One base panel is cracked and repaired as pictured. Otherwise works and is OK. Some lighting parts replaced with new to work. I know nothing about this lamp but can give you measurements. It is too heavy for me to lift when the shade is on. Underside of shade appears to be some lettering, See picture. I have not taken the base apart. The base lights with small bulb and is 10 1/2 tall to base of bulb. There is a 9″ harp and a 2″ finial. A base side measures 2 1/2 ” at the top and 6″ at the bottom. The shade is 8 tall overall. Hex top is 5 1/2″ peak to peak (4 1/2″ flat to flat), Bottom is 19 1/2 ” peak to peak (17″ flat to flat) Glass panels are 3X10X8. The 1920s/30s lamp appears in 100% original condition including the sockets with the exception of the cord which indicates it was rewired in the 1950s. The shade is 18 inches in diameter, the base is 8 inches in diameter and the lamp stands 22 inches tall to the top of the finial. The sockets and the base switch work perfectly. Rare Beautiful Antique Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp & Lighted Base
This rare beautiful antique slag stained glass table lamp also has glass in the base and lights up as well. The metal has designs with coloring and it stands about 24 tall overall. There are no cracks to the glass anywhere nor any broken spots on the metal frame of both the shade and base. Someone has done modern rewiring of the lamp with both sockets on the top working as well as the one in the base. Typically the wiring has deteriorated on these lamps so for safety purposes this is better. One pull chain is a little stubborn and the base switch to turn that socket off doesn’t seem to be working. Antique Slag Glass Lighted Base Panel Lamp
This is a superb lighted base lamp. I have shown many pictures. The complete lamp lit, the complete lamp unlit. The base lit, the base unlit. The shade has 6 panels of smooth amber glass. The shade is 7 1/2 deep. The diameter of the shade is 18 1/2. Notice the original green enamel/paint that is very faint on the shade. The top shade can be lit with the 2 pull chain sockets on the top. The base has been recently wired the correct way with a rayon cord. Notice the bottom picture of the base. It also has the original bottom on the base. You can light the base only (maybe for a night light) or the shade only or both for the full effect. It is all ready to go. This lamp and others I have listed came from the collection of an elderly gentleman. All sales are final. I might have the shade professionally boxed. There might be something you just can not live without. I will be listing much more vintage lighting soon.
