JAD Original 1920s Slag Glass Floor Lamp Cocktail / Smoking Table UNIQUE
As you see it in the pics. I took the 1920 Slag Glass Lamp from Chicago and cut the top off and attached a Vintage Guilded Edge heavy Silver Platter to it and the lamp is made from a Vintage Silver Sugar service with a Digital Fire Bulb in it for a Fabulous Effect. The table is ok to be out on the deck serving as a very romantic meeting point because its mostly sealed from moisture via silicone gasget around the glass. The slag glass bottom lights when the lamp is plugged in but the lamp on the table is switch controlled and different Modes can be achieved on the bulb by turning it on/off quickly twice so it stays solid lit or again to go to Flame mode. Came out exactly as i envisioned it! To change bulb simply pull the top with glass off and replace. The Rose and Cherry on the platter were put there by me and are solid Pewter cuz they look COOL. BTW this table saved my life as i had to many drinks got lost in the yard and crawled towards the firey lighthouse!!! Since most of the parts on this piece actually ARE from the Roaring 20s i can see why it was referred to as such… Oh and by the way… Those are vintage necklaces around the glass. This IS one of a kind! Every part used in the making of this lamp is used and may have imperfections, scratches or dents. Antique Art Deco ashtray lighted smoking stand slag glass chrome AB Mico 1930s. Offering this original 1930′s cast metal smoking set made by AB company / with Mico electric lighter. Stand is marked AB co / 654 on base. It’s about 26″ tall and 11″ across the base and tray. This piece has some issues: 1 the lighting does not work and needs to be rewired. 2 the top handle is cracked but it just screws off and it wouldn’t be too hard to find an appropriate replacement. 3 There is a small chip on the glass section where it meets the ring. Ornate Antique Art Deco Floor Bridge Lamp Smoking Pipe Stand Slag Glass & Chrome
Has a few issues but all in all a great styled period piece. The lamp has no cord. See last four pics for following issues. The lighter has been broken and glued back together, lighter has no cord so done know if it works, one of the tiered glass pieces has a small crack, the ball has a tiny chip, the one ashtray needs the cigarette rest soldiered back on. These issues are not the worst, they are small and not too noticeable and can be turned toward the back. Will come disassembled as seen and most likely in two packages. Art Deco Chrome Dc-3 Airplane Ashtray Smoking Stand Slag Glass Table Lamp
Art Deco Airplane Ashtray Lamp made by C. Electric Lamps Montreal Quebec. Almost 70 years old now these iconic post war items are getting harder to find, especially in any sort of good condition. Portable Electric Standard Lamp according to the stamp on the bottom of the ashtray table. Most of these chrome lighted airplane ashtrays and tables were manufactured in the late 1940s and into the early 1950s by lamp manufacturing companies in Canada. The following is an exert from a historical perspective of this genre. They were originally made by two Canadian companies, called Metalcraft and another called Electrolite (sic) both in Toronto. There was apparently also a third Canadian company in Montreal that made a slightly different airplane ashtray that had a square tray and square boxes that dropped into the tray and a narrower airplane that had three lines running down the side.. Although the DC-3 was the popular model for these different companies, each made their aircraft slightly differently. This particular one made by C. Features an off switch for the lighted fuselage cabin lights on the side of the airplane. The propellers spin freely and appear to be original. The DC-3 airplane pivots into multiple positions resting on a ball and socket base. There is a beautiful slag glass ball on the base of the stand. Overall condition of the airplane and stand is about 7 out of 10. Height to the tail of the DC-3 is 35 inches and the ashtray table is about 13 inches wide by 11 inches wide.
