The romance to have a piece of history is appealing and has a sense of significance and meaning. By reusing an older piece, you are helping to lessen the demand for new products to be created. The extraction of raw materials to create new products contributes to pollution and exploitation. Compared to the same quality and level of craftsmanship of modern counterparts, vintage products is much more affordable and often increases in value over time. With so many styles to choose from, you are almost guaranteed to find something truly unique to your personal tastes. It is unlikely that someone else will have a piece the same as yours. Some designs have an appeal that never grows old. Choosing a timeless design for something that you are going to have, or handing down to your children just makes sense. Vintage and antique goods come from a time before mass production. Many of these pieces are handmade with a level of intricacy and attention to detail that is hard to find today. I sell antique and vintage collectible stuff – unique items that have history, and may show signs of this – it is part of their charm. I try to describe any obvious faults as truthfully as I can. However, as most of my items are 100 years old, they will often bear the traces of a previous life. Thank you to all that exploring my listings.
