Splendid Blue Tyfanny Style Antq Pair /Lamps w Bended Slag Glass Pannels & Brass
Magnificent blue Tyfanny style, antique pair of lamps with six bended slag glass pannels and brass square base. Stained slag glass lamp shade. Brass base with bronze finish. Double pull chain switch with fringe. Each of the six pannels of glass is hand-soldered into place using the traditional copper foil technique with splendid filigree foral pattern acessoires and very elegant curve lines, (trimmed with a fine mini spiral wire). The flowing colour is blue basically, with hypnotic hues of green and yellow, creating a movement effect, not to mention the decorating calming and soothing effect. Due to the different monitor and light effect, the actual color of the items might be slightly different from the color showed on the pictures. The base rests on a square block and is mainly a bulbous central pillar with stylised acanthus leaves pattern and fluted upper segment, finished by the lighting part made of the two sockets for the two bulbs with the two fringes for the double pull down chains. Up for consideration is this Awesome One of Kind Antique Gothic Arts and Crafts Torch Table Lamp featuring Brown – Blue Polygon Slag Glass Shade. It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. The base was originally from a floor lamp and the shade was a swag hanging lamp. The cap-cover and finial have a fastener and pull up to access socket for bulb replacement (see photos). There are fleur de lis on upper part of shade but one of them back by henge is missing (seep photos). There are areas of patina or tarnish and blemishes on the metal (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in any of the slag glass (see photos). The shade frame has some chipped missing paint (see photos). It measure approximately 6.75 inches wide for shade, 9.5 inches in diameter for base and 20.5 inches tall to top of finial. Thanks for viewing our listing! This is the only yellow a blue slag glass shade we have ever seen, and that is saying something. Normally the different colors would be separate glass. Here the glass is one piece (see photos). It is in excellent antique estate condition. We are lamp nuts and more to the point slag glass nuts! There are age related areas of paint chipping, fading and general ware (see photos). There are no chips or cracks of slag glass. There is a number written on one the inside panels (see photos). Also there is a’L’ and’84′ inside bottom of base (see photos). Vintage Retro Table Lamp With 6 Paneled Slag Glass And Lead Metal Overlay Blue
Mom has moved into an assisted living facility and does not need as many table lamps as in the whole house, so one of her favorites is offered for sale. The glass is colorful, figured, and nicely contoured. Wiring looks to be in great condition, and has probably been rewired. The lamp is very heavy for it’s size. 15 1/2 inches tall overall, 9 inch shade max width 7 1/2 across the flats, and the base is a little over 4 inches square. 1920′s Six Panel Native American Indian and Horse Blue Slag Glass Table Lamp VTG
1920′s Six Panel Native American Indian and Horse Blue Slag Glass Table Lamp. Nice Scarce Vintage Estate Find 1920′s Six Panel Lamp Shade Blue Slag Glass and Metal 7 1/2 High Handel Era Spelter & Slag Glass Table Lamp Shade Indian and Horse Motif Design. What an interesting find. From a local estate, a beautiful vintage Piece Nice detail and eye appeal. Shade dates from the late 19teens to the 1920′s. Six identical panels make up the shade. Each panel is held in place with a soldered brass holder. The metal design of the outer shade appears to be spelter finished with a bronze look. No marks that I could find. Each panel base measures approx. 7 and each panel top measures approx. ” Width of shade from flat side to flat side is 12″ and from angle point to angle point is 14 1/4. 1 of the panels has 2 cracked pieces that have been taped together. The Bronze Stand Measures 14 tall to top of the Fixture. The Base weighs around 3 lbs and the Shade weighs over 7 lbs. Will need cleaning because of dust.
