Gorgeous all-original overlay slag panel lamp, early 1900s. Large size, m easures approximately 21 1/2″ high with a big 19″ diameter shade. Could find no maker’s mark, but guaranteed absolutely antique. I absolutely 100% guarantee the base and shade are original together. The color of the metal and all glass is a perfect match. All glass and metal in excellent original condition: no chips or cracks to the glass, no dents or breaks or losses to the metal overlay, very minor finish wear only. Features six beautiful blue and pink streaked glass panels on the shade and two panels on the base, two pull-chain sockets and pull lever on base. As photos show, can be lit both shade and base simultaneously, or shade or base independently. Lamp was rewired at one time, all in good working order. The 2 sockets look original, base push-pull switch looks replaced. Bradley Hubbard Arts Crafts Leaded Slag Glass Antique Vintage Lamp Handel Era NR
That’s an unbelievable savings as well. This is a full sized lamp measuring in at 24 inches tall with the shade being 18 inches wide. The base with a three socket cluster and all working nicely and there is not damage to report as well. The base in good original patina throughout and recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style plug. No breaks in the metalware at all with the base, as this is a heavy and well made be and h base that is seldom seen. As for the shade that is also in very nice overall condition. Great quality glass and form and as you can see it lights up very very nicely. A stray tight age crack here or there as to expected for a lamp shade of this period and they are very tight and not going anywhere for another 100 years. The leading all tight and right throughout and the glass coloration simply excellent and vibrant. Of course if you would like to pick it up at my location that is welcome as well. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. Arts & Crafts Slag Glass Lamp. Being offered is a very nice antique slag glass lamp in the Arts & Crafts style, circa 1920′s. Lamp has 8 panels of caramel colored slag glass with a great repeating leaf overlay & greek key border. The main part of the base is pottery and it is marked “Rainaud” on the bottom. Antique Monumental Wilkinson Lamp Base for slag/leaded glass shade Handel Era. These lamps are very hard to find, based on initial factory volume unlike Handel. All Hubbell sockets with Acorn Pull chains. Some very slight loss in patina as you would expect. This is a huge base weighing 13 1/2lbs and will accept the largest shade you can find. Appears in the Paul Crist Book page 267-268, cap may have been changed over the years? I will be listing some top end lamps that I have available. We invite questions to be asked at any time!!!! Arts & Crafts R Williamson Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp Handel Tiffany Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. Here’s an example of a great looking prairie style R Williamson lamp. I don’t see a lot of these Williamson lamps around and I suspect they didn’t make all that many. This one is not signed, but is has all of the characteristics of a Williamson lamp, and comes with what is in my view their very best base. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, but will note that the shade is 18″ in diameter and the lamp stands about 24″ tall. The shade is very well built, good and tight, and I see maybe 3 or 4 small cracks. Great selection of colors and design combine to make this a wonderful arts & crafts prairie lamp. The base has all of its original hardware, sockets, cap and finial. It has has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a really nice looking example of R Williamson’s. Work that would be the highlight of any room. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. Arts&Crafts, Nouveau Double Signed Handel Stained Leaded Slag Glass Bronze Lamp
The top of the shade is decorated in a caramel slag seldom seen honeycomb pattern. Shade signed with applied “Handel” tag / please look at the last picture/. The shade rests on a Handel stick base with inverted saucer foot and three “Harvey Hubbel ” socket cluster. The base is finished in a rich brown with subtle “frog skin” green highlights and is topped with a fleur de lis heat cap. Signed on the underside of foot “Handel”. The shade is 18″ in diameter, base is 22-3/4″ tall. Shade is very good to excellent with a few tight / only 4 / hairlines. Base is very good to excellent with some very minor wear to finish. Rewired with contemporary plastic cord. Please look at my Tiffany, Handel and other lamps.
