Antique Signed Bradley & Hubbard 471 Lily Pad Arts & Crafts Slag Glass Lamp Base
Up for sale is this antique Bradley & Hubbard arts and crafts / art nouveau slag glass lamp base featuring a wonderful lily pad design. The lamp is signed on the base BRADLEY & HUBBARD 471. The lamp has been painted over in a green paint. The lamp base measures 13 1/2″ inches tall with the base measuring 8 1/4″ inches in diameter and 12 inches between the arms. This great Bradley & Hubbard lamp base would make a great project for restoration and with the right shade would be a truly fantastic piece. Handel Floor Lamp, Leaded, Slag, Stained Glass Shade, Arts Crafts Era
Very nice Handel Harp Floor Base with painted shade. I have to say this is one of the nicest Handel Lamps Ive seen. The lamp is all correct. Ill start with the shade. Shade is 10 Dia. 5 1/2 tall with a 2.25 fitter. The shade is properly signed and numbered as shown. Great heavy texture paint on the outside that really fires up a very nice woodland scene. There are no cracks or chips that I see. These shades where molded so you see the mold line on the inside. This is not a repair. The base is signed on the bottom as shown. Base is 57 tall with a 12 foot. This base has a fantastic brown and green patina. Everything on this base is correct including the orig. Hubbell Socket with orig. The base has been rewired with cloth brown period wire and has a orig. Just a great Handel example looking for a new home. Welcome To The Antique Cabinet. For your consideration is a wonderful antique HANDEL Geometric Glass Lamp Shade, circa 1920-30s. His is a great piece from the Arts & Crafts and Art Deco Era. It features a six-sided domed body with a geometric design overlay. The large upper panels have a. Caramel-cream colored glass, the lower apron panels have a striated green glass both colors combine nicely for a soft, tranquil glow. 9½” wide (flat to flat) by 5¼” tall with 2 1/8 fitter rim, this is nice size shade in regard to the range of fixtures it could fit! The shade is in excellent condition with lite age-related wear; the glass is free of any cracks or repairs. A fantastic example of early HANDEL Lighting! – - – - -. Duffner & Kimberly Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp Tiffany Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a nice example of a later Duffner & Kimberly arts & crafts lamp. I say later since the design of the cluster and cap were modified. Please see my last picture of the cluster setup as it is identified in Paul Crist’s Book, Mosaic Shades II. And the base was made simpler as the company faced. Still, these later lamps were made with the quality one would expect from Duffner, even in the face of the company’s impending demise. This particular one features a. Style shade with oblong jewels in the boarder. The jewels to me look like amber with streaks of white in them….. Just beautiful to look at. They protrude out from the shade as one of my images shows. This is a full sized table lamp with an 18″ diameter shade that stands 22″ tall. I see two or three small cracks in the dark brown apron pieces, but none in the triangular top sections or jewels. The base has a wonderful multi colored patina. It has its original cap, finial, and sockets which are dated June 13,’99. It has been wired with cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times.
