Caramel Slag Glass Desk Lamp
This desk lamp has a cast metal shade with caramel colored glass inserts. The base is also cast metal. Both the shade and base show some hints of some painted colors. It casts a nice light when lit. I cannot find a signature on this lamp and would assume it was made in the 1920′s or 1930′s. It is 15 inches tall, and the shade is 6 inches in diameter. It weighs about 2 lbs. The item “Caramel Slag Glass Desk Lamp” is in sale since Sunday, June 10, 2018. This item is in the category “Antiques\Decorative Arts\Lamps”. The seller is “hplchplc” and is located in Woodbury, New Jersey. This item can be shipped to United States.

Antique Lamb Bros Leaded Slag Glass Lamp Brass Base Caramel Green Leaf C. 1915
The lamp stands about 19 to the top of the finial. The shade is 6″ tall and about 14.5″ in diameter. The brass base is 7. I have showed 2 hairline cracks in the shade in the last photos. The shade is solid and has good color, caramel with green leave and ruby panels. The lamp base is brass. It has lost most of it’s lacquer finish but still displays nicely. Strip off the the remaining and have it re-laquered if you choose, and it will be a stunning base. There is 1 tiny ding to the base. The Bakelite protector over the hole for the cord has chipped threading and does not screw in tightly. Electrically it works fine, good cord, wall socket and pull chain. A beautiful example to add to your collection. The item “ANTIQUE LAMB BROS LEADED SLAG GLASS LAMP BRASS BASE CARAMEL GREEN LEAF C. 1915″ is in sale since Sunday, June 3, 2018. 8 Panel Bent Caramel Slag Glass Lamp-RARE Find and Condition-Restored with Origi
ITEM HEADLINE: 8 Panel Bent Caramel Slag Glass Lamp-RARE Find and Condition-Restored with Original Bronze or Brass Metal Plating Unknown Make High Quality Lamp. 8 Panel Bent Caramel Slag Glass Lamp-RARE Find and Condition-Restored with Original Bronze or Brass Metal Plating Unknown Make High Quality Lamp. Up for sale is a lamp that when discovered had been heavily painted from top to bottom, including the sockets, chain, acorns It was almost like the lamp was dipped in paint and I later found that it was painted twice. This was quite the job to clean and remove but the paint may have been a blessing in disguise. Under all the paint was the original Bronze or Brass plating, in fact, the entire lamp is Bronze or Brass plated and the paint protected the original surface. This lamp was completely original (minus the paint) when found. Original wiring and sockets Nothing had been modified since the day it was made. The lamp itself is almost 25 inches tall and the shade is 17 inches across and free of damage to the metal frame or filigree. Its a very heavy lamp and weights in at just over 17 Lbs. Im not sure what metal the base or lamp is made of-Magnets dont stick to the metal. The lamp originally had a two socket cluster which was changed to a newer solid brass 3 socket cluster. The original sockets where kept and the paint removed. The sockets are unlike any I have seen before and look as if they would have been premium sockets in the day and I believe the socket casings are solid bronze shells. The original sockets had the acorn pulls already. Socket is of the period but different from the two original sockets The 3. Socket has an acorn pull. The original cloth cord was threadbare and was replaced with a modern day reproduction twisted cloth cord and the internal wiring was updated to modern cord. A Beautiful lamp in excellent, almost original condition (minus the new socket cluster) A distinctive piece! Additional pictures will be added soon. UK, FRANCE, GERMANY, JAPAN, AUSTRALIA.
