Antique Lamp Base Polychrome Paint for Slag Glass Reverse Painted Shades
Antique table lamp base for slag glass, panel shade, reverse obverse painted shades. Cast iron base and column, hefty base. Gold finish, red and green polychrome paint. Stands 24 tall including the finial. The base is 8 across at the bottom. All surface clean inside and out, new wiring wire throughout, plug end, insulators, modern pull chain fat boy sockets, tested safe and ready to use lamp base. No damage, just age related wear, some dark areas to the gold finish, subtle. Please see all pics. I stand behind my work 100%.

Antique Torch And Floral Swag Motif Lamp Base, For Slag Stained Glass Shades
Please review all pictures for overall condition and size, as this forms the overall condition/description of the item. Wear is consistent with age and use. The cord was VERY worn and not safe to use, so we cut it. We kept the old plug for it and are including it (pictured). Pull chains are stuck, has scratches, marks, light rust, etc. The bottom has a cover welded or brazed on. Looks like it has been painted black possibly. The metal is either iron or spelter, possibly some brass/Bronze used in areas. It is hard to tell, we see some metallic color under the paint and we see brass/Bronze coloring. It also have very nice weight to it, heavier than it looks. Was possibly “Bronzed” at one point but got worn and then maybe someone painted it. Has some nice age, we believe early 1900s, around 1915. It is a great project lamp, it would look great restored. We believe the heavy Tiffany, Handel style slag/stained glass shades go to it. Measurements are in the photos/details. Haven’t found any names or makers marks on it. Please message us with any questions, we respond fast. Please allow up to 2/3 days for large items, though we do get those out faster than that a lot of the time.

Beautiful Antique Glass Lamp Shades. These are original glass shades from a large antique lighting collection – see and watch our store for more from this amazing collection. Bournique shades by Kokomo Glass in Indiana, USA. Heavily textured caramel slag glass – so eye catching! Each has some tiny gold flecks, because there was some metallic gold paint swirled here and there on the glass that we scrubbed off, however some was left some in the crevices, which could be scrubbed again or boiled off. That is what shows as dark flecks in the sunlight and when lit (mostly on one shade). No chips or cracks in the shades. Normal, tiny lines and marks here and there from the glass-making process.
