Miller Lamp Co. Slag Glass Base, Heavy BRONZE(rare) BEAUTIFUL PATINA
This is one beautiful and heavy lamp. It stands about 24 inches tall and weighs almost 11 pounds. I believe it to be a Miller, but I did not remove the green felt and search for markings. It could also be a Whaley or Wilkinson, as it is so well made. The design is unique with floral lower and spiraling leaves/stems which course upward. The color is a bronze/green. There is one small dent which can be seen on the last picture on the edge of the base. The socket shells were changed at some time. Up for sale is this awesome antique Art Nouveau green marble slag glass ornate heavy cast metal lamp mark VR on bottom. This lamp measures approx. 20 1/2″ tall and the shade is 12″ by 12. The cast metal is in good condition with no damages but the slag panels have chips on the edges and some repaired cracks as pictured(could be replaced if desired). One panel has 2 repaired cracks across the center, and another has a repaired corner crack but they are not very noticeable – a really nice lamp!! Heavy Metal Antique Art Nouveau Slag Leaded Glass Lamp Floral & Fruit Design
It has a gorgeous bronze polychrome finish, an elegant base that has 2 long satellite pull chain sockets one marked Pat. It is unsigned, probably had a paper label. The shade is open topped and sits on a cast rest at the top of the base. One glass panel has been repaired but expertly done so as to blend in with the shade glass colors. The lamp stands 22″ tall, the shade is 16″ across and the base is 6.75 across. The cord is sticky but the lamp does work as is. Weighs approx 13 pounds. This will be packed very well and carefully.
