In Art Nouveau or Arts & Crafts design. Let, s start from the shade… Just look at the construction of shade… Very thin leading lines. Super design with outstanding shading shape. Size of shade is 17 3/4 in diameter. Just a few /3-4/ glass panels have heat line cracks, keeps strong structure and in almost an excellent condition. Slightly dirty, which is ok — for lamp over 110 years old. The shade has intertwining fleur-de-lis pattern with nicely matched glass / changing from white off to light blue to light turquoise colors/ that really accentuates the design of shade. About lamp base — simply trumpet style is still of superior quality and was made from a solid bronze. Please look at the picture — how is nice a finial / most nicest elaborate finial made by Gorham Co. This impressive lamp model is one of the most elaborate lamp shades made by Gorham Co. Vintage Stained Glass Hanging Swag Light Lamp Fixture Bronze Brass Gypsy Slag
Up for sale today is this Fabulous Vintage Hanging Swag Light or Lamp Fixture. As shown, looks to be made of Metalware such as Bronze or Brass. Great Stain Glass Elements with an ivory slag around the entire mid section with textured multicolored glass around the top and bottom. Lots of photos for you to review. Lamp Fixture itself is approx. 11.5″ tall x 12″ wide at widest. Condition looks good but I’ve given you lots of pics to check out. Vintage items may need cleaning. This is a Beautiful Antique Signed Handel Bronze Slag Glass Lamp Shade Arts & Crafts Light Hubbell. The shade is signed Handel and features a bronze/brass body with ornate slag glass designs. It is in great cosmetic condition with wear from use and age, there is a clean crack in the glass, but there are no missing pieces so it could be repaired (see closeups). The shade comes with the original bronze Hubbell light socket. The shade measures 5″ tall, the top is 3″ wide and 3″ deep, and the bottom is 5″ wide and 5 deep. Ohio, is a bronze green lamp with fluted post and two small handles. Cream and amber slag glass and intricately decorated polished brass shade. Two pull chair sockets. Bottom of base is marked with pattern number 2209, and appears to be made by the Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Company (see book entitled, Better Electric Lamps of the 20′s and 30s). The lamp is made from quality materials and was among the first designer lights — Tiffany was a famous example — that arose with the arrival of electricity. 23.5 total height to top of shade. Antique PH Poul Henningsen Heavy Cast Bronze Paneled Blue Slag Glass GWTW Lamp
The lamp is in good antique condition and show its age. Metal appears to be cast bronze and does not attract a magnet. All of the glass is intact and I did not see any cracks or chips. The metal parts show bending, cracking, marring, oxidation, patina, denting, age distress etc. Lamp looks to have been rewired with new socket and harp put on in the 1960′s. The turn switch does not work properly I had to fiddle with it to get both bulbs to come on. Takes a standard and candelabra style bulb. Approximately 23 inches tall to top of finial, and weighs around 12 pounds.
