1930s ART NOUVEAU MEDIUM SLAG GLASS LAMP-BRADLEY & HUBBARD
This 1930s Art Nouveau two-light medium-size table lamp was made by Bradley & Hubbard (raised letters on bottom of base underneath cast iron loader). It is made of cast iron (base, stem & loader), heavy cast metal (shade frame), & brass (socket bodies & finial). The Art Nouveau crisply cast filigree floral designs include birds. It has been restored to the original dark bronze. The original slag glass panels are cream with swirls of brown & caramel. All the slag glass panels are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The lamp stands 20 tall & the shade is 13 wide. The cast iron lamp base is 7 in diameter. Original Bryant pull chain light sockets are rewired with brown cloth covered cord & a new repro bakelite plug. It weighs 14 lbs. Light bulbs not included. ANTIQUE SIGNED H. E. RAINAUD BENT PANEL SLAG GLASS LAMP c. 1920 ART NOUVEAU WORKS
This listing is for a really nice RAINAUD lamp. Featuring Carmel & White slag glass panels on a Cast Iron Shade Frame & Base. The finish is Green with designs in the casting. The shade holder is brass as well as the top cap and have a nice patina. The finial is a cast iron piece and has a broze wash finish. Rainaud Company made lamps in Meriden, CT. From 1916 to about 1930. It specialized in lamps with metal bases and shades made of pierced metal over colored or slag glass. The lamp is working and the only flaw is a small piece in the shade decorations that has been broken off. I will give you a pic so you see how small the very minor damage is. The lamp has been rewired, but with any electrical item, we recommend you have it checked by a professional before use. CONDITION: Working in Excellent Condition with 1 minor flaw – see pictures. Antique Slag Glass from the 1920′s Electric Lamp-Made by Royal Glass Co
Good condition-considering the age. The panes do have cracks. The cord has very light wear and is still intact. The cord and plug have recently been replaced. This is a heavy duty cast base and well made lamp. It’s beautiful, too (as shown in the pictures) It was made by Royal Glass Co. As marked on the bottom.
