This listing is for a unusual 18 Eight Panel Bent Slag Glass Lamp Shade. Egyptian revival motif, with 8 bent slag glass panels with overlaid straps and Egyptian sphinx around the lower border. Very nice colorful cold painted highlights of the sphinx and shaped around the border and top of the shade. The paint on these shades are rarely found in this good of condition, usually has been worn off over the years. This one is very nice with minimal wear. Antique Slag Glass Tiffany Type Panel Lamp with Fish Design Original Glass
This totally original lamp is fresh from a local estate. Lamp measures 16″ in diameter and stands 22″ tall. Original toned down gold paint is original. All glass is original and without cracks or repairs. You can see the same luster to all glass as well as same grain in the slag swirl, indicating that the glass is all matching and original. Notice the fish design around bottom edge of lamp shade. This patterns is repeating around the shade. The inner sockets look to have been changed at some time in the past. I say this because you would normally expect pull chains on this lamp. I would suggest lamp be checked out, and re wired by an electrician to be safe before using, though it is working fine as we speak. This is a very nice lamp and as original as you will find anymore. You will be impressed with this one in hand. Lamp is tight and solid with no repairs. See all attached photos of both base and shade. Antique 21 Slag Glass 16 Panel Table Lamp Shade, B&H, Pittsburgh, Duffner. This is a Fantastic Large 21, 16 Panel Slag Glass Table Lamp Shade. It has a stunning filigree pattern with beautiful old slag glass panels. All the panels are on fantastic condition and I actually believe they have never been removed from the frame. The top 8 panels are a wonderful caramel and cream marbling the bottom 8 panels are blue with a deeper blue and purple marbling. It is and older shade I believe it has it’s original finish some signs of aging but no damage on the frame or panels. I’m not sure who the maker is but I believe it is one of the better makers it is a very nice shade. The shade is 8 1/2″ tall it’s 21″ at widest points 19 1/2 across the panels and it weighs 11.3 pounds. The pictures are part of this description so please look closely at the pictures. If you do have interest in the base the fancy shade cap and rest please contact me on that it did not come with the lamp I believe it is Pittsburgh and it is fairly close to matching the shade, the shade rest is a tad small but works.. Antique Lily Slag Glass Lamp Flower Pink Green Bronzed Base Possibly Handel
ANTIQUE LILY SLAG GLASS LAMP FLOWER PINK GREEN BRONZED BASE POSSIBLY HANDEL. For your consideration is an exquisite ANTIQUE SLAG GLASS LILY TABLE LAMP possibly made by HANDEL. Light wear to base from being safely displayed and stored for many years. This comes from a local estate. The shades are removeable and you can change the look of the lamp to many different styles of your chosing by moving the shades to different stems. The lamp has three separate lights that come up and hang over in a floral design. You can have the main middle light on, the two-side lights on, or all three lights on depending on your preference. Each shade has alternating pink and green slag art glass panels and look just amazing with the bronzed metal base stand. It has a ON/OFF turn switch on the base and comes with original cord. Works great, with no issues. The base is covered with a gray felt material that has a few slight tears. I have not tried to remove the material to see if it is signed anywhere on the base. I cannot find any signatures. It is very similar to some HANDEL signed lamps in the LILY style. It is very heavy and is definetily a designer piece. The lamp measures aprox 22.5″ tall and the base measures aprox 10″ wide. This is a very hard to find piece and would be a great addition to any collection. Lamp is in great condition with NO chips, cracks or repairs. What an exquisite piece. What you see is what you will receive. Antique Unique Arts & Craft Filigree Bent Circular Slag Glass Table Lamp
Antique Unique Arts & Craft Filigree Bent Circular Slag Glass Table Lamp. This is a Very Unique and Unusual Raised Filigree Slag Glass Table Lamp. The slag glass is bent & circular which I personally have never seen before. I have seen lots of bent panel slag glass lamps but none that are bent to create a circular lamp shade. It is quite interesting they did it with four panels held in with tabs just as most slag lamps have. It has a raised attached floral pattern with a cross hatched filigree pattern also. The lamp is I believe a cast white metal and it is quite heavy and very solid it weighs 19.7.5 pounds. It has it’s original finish it is old so there are a few somewhat small areas of finish loss. I do not see any missing pieces on the shades frame and all the little tabs holding the glass are there. I see some areas of solder on the inside I’m not sure if that is factory or if they did it after the fact. It is something you do not see unless you turn the shade over and quite honestly I believe it is factory! There is actually still some of the mold material still on the slag glass from when they bent the glass using a mold. I do not see any makers marks so I have no clue whom the maker is but it is made very well. The sockets are not original the original sockets were in very poor condition! There is one Hubbell with an acorn pull and the other is an Arrow with a ball pull. The wiring to the sockets has been changed also it had single solid core wiring originally. The cord may be original but I’m not sure it was with the lamp when it was found. This very unique lamp stands 23″ the shade is 7 1/2″ tall about 15 1/2 wide and as I said it weighs 19.7.5 pounds. I do not believe you will be at all disappointed with this very beautiful and different table lamp. To me it has a wonderful Arts & Craft look! I believe because of the wiring it dates from 1920 to 1930 but could possibly be earlier. Thank you for your interest! In the case of a Holiday it may take a bit longer!!! HUGE! Antique 8 Panel Curved Slag Glass Lamp Shade Caramel & White
HUGE ANTIQUE CURVED SLAG GLASS SHADE. I picked this piece up at an estate sale in Northern NY State about 7 years ago. At that time they told me that it had been brought over here from Scotland by one of their ancestors and it had hung in a large hall. They said it had housed a gas fed lamp. I have no way of knowing if this is true, but that’s the story I got! This shade is HUGE!!! Measures a full 22 inches in diameter, and approx. 13 inches in height. The Crown at the top measures at 9 inches across. ALL slag glass panels are in excellent condition. While photographing this, I did notice some of the decoration had split away from the frame… About a 3-4 inch split(please see pics) It looks to me like this could be fixed w/ just a touch of JB Weld. It does not affect the structure or stability of the shade. There is also a little bit of paint loss on the crown, but i’m guessing this piece is well over 100yrs old, so that’s to be expected.
