Charles Parker Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp Handel Duffner Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a great example of a Charles Parer leaded slag glass lamp. These guys made some terrific designs using a combination of leaded and slag glass pieces with heavy overlay. The result is one of the best overlay lamp designs out there. This one is a particularly nice floral pansy? Boarder example in excellent overall condition. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, but will say that the shade is in excellent condition without a single crack. It measures 19 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stand 22″ tall. The base has a wonderful dragon motif and is done in a coppery sort of finish (which matches the shade perfectly). The base has its original matching sockets with porcelain interiors and ball ended pull chains as well as its original finial, and has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you are looking at this ad you are likely familiar with this company and know that their lamps like this are hard to find and rarely offered. This is a very fine example with a really cool looking shade. I will let my pictures do the talking here since they can do a better job than I can about. It, but will note that the shade is 19 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stands 23 1/2″ tall. I see two small breaks in two of the very small caramel edge pieces, but other than these the shade is essentially perfect. Base and shade have matching gun metal sort of finish and look to have been together since they were made. Wondeful, large, bulbous base has its original finiah, P&S labeled sockets (with their original porcelain interiors and satellite ended pulls), cap and finial. It has has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. This is a really nice and I. Up for sale is this large Antique lamp base likely for a Slag Or Panel Glass Shade. Measures about 20 tall and weighs about 8 pounds 15 ounces unpacked. So this could handle a large shade. There are no makers marks or signature but this was a high quality lamp base. The entire base section attracts a magnet, and it has a raised art nouveau style design. Outside of frame has one part where the weld came undone and few pieces of slag glass are slightly loose but does not effect its usability and they wont fall out. Vintage Charles Parker Lamp Antique Stained Panel Slag Glass table Lamp Light
This is a rare & stunningly beautiful Charles Parker lamp with the well patina’d. The cast iron brass plating base for look. Style & patina is one of only a couple that I have seen in person or online. Picture 2 is going to be the new. Cord added to this lamp unless a different one is requested. The shade has beautiful colors all filigree present with a striking & lovely. It’s very hard to fully appreciate the look to the glass with pictures but I have. Tried to come as close as possible shown in pic 4 which still doesn’t quite capture it. This lamp is going to be around 90-110 years old. Diameter of the shade is app. 20 with total height of the lamp app. This lamp has 1 broken larger panel that has been professionally. Repaired making it unnoticeable when lit or unlit – a closeup of it is shown. In the last pic. 1 very small corner of the lower glass has a chip to it that. Has been repaired with not being seen at all- anything else is the normal. Rough edges due to their ways of cutting glass back then. Overall in excellent condition- that’s taking into account we are very. Particular with antique lighting. The lamp has been lightly cleaned since it was too dusty from attic or. For collectors or others that like to see it dusty or dirty. To show it’s true originality- pictures of it before or during cleaning.
