We replaced the original shade and finial. The original finial was damaged. There are no chips or cracks in the art glass shade (see photos). It measures approximately 11 inches front of shade to back of base on back side as shown in gallery photo, 5 inches in diameter for shade, 7 inches for footed base and 21 inches tall. ALSO THERE ARE PLACES, 2 THAT I SEE, THAT ARE CRACKED. SOME OF THE CLIPS THAT HOLD THE GLASS IN ARE MISSING. IT DOES NEED A PLUG WIRED IN. MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 25″ IN DIAMETER X 16 3/4″ TALL, OIL LAMP MEASURES 12 TALL. THE WEIGHT IS APPROXIMATELY 31 POUNDS. Thank you for the interest in this item. Antique Old American Art Nouveau Floral Bent Slag Glass Lamp Shade & Base Lamp. This is a nice old antique American Art Nouveau Arts & Crafts Period lamp. The lamp has the eight panel bent slag glass lamp shade and floral base. The lamp is not marked by the maker (see photos). The lamp is made of mixed materials including a white metal Spelter and Iron (see photos). The lamp is from a fine estate liquidation (see photos). The glass in the lamp shade has no cracks to the glass panels (see photos). The lamp in total measures about 20 inches high and it is about 14.5 inches wide at the base of the shade. This shade portion without the base in total measures about 7 inches high and it is about 14.5 inches wide at the base of the shade. The lamp is missing the upper cap finial. The lamp has paint finish losses and signs of wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). Up for consideration is this Rare One of a Kind Awesome Vintage Bridge Arm Table Desk Lamp featuring Antique BentCurved Cream or Beige Slag Glass Shade. It has socket based on/off switch. Generally speaking, slag glass lamps predate Tiffany’s style of lamps. Which was using broken pieces of slag glass, cut or grinding them joining them geometrically as needed to make lamp shades. They were joined together using a foil welding method developed by Tiffany. It is in very good to excellent vintage antique estate condition. We converted the from floor lamp to table lamp. This is another lamp we have married the base and shade. There are areas of patina or tarnish (see photos). It is adjustable (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in any of the slag glass. Vintage & Rare Bent Slag Glass Table Lamp (Please Read Description)
Vintage & Rare Slag Glass Table Lamp. A beautiful and rare 8 panel, bent slag glass table lamp. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The larger bent panels are cream and caramel colored while the smaller panels are kiwi green with streaks of cream. Structurally, the metal frame is in excellent condition There is one loose piece on the underside of the shade that supports the slag glass. It’s minor and the glass it supports is still very secure. The grape vine filigree is delicate and beautifully detailed. The majority of the design is framed into the lower half that has the kiwi green glass. The design climbs out onto the caramel colored glass with a couple of leaves and two vines making their appearance. A very fun and unique idea. There are a few minor issues with this lamp. One of the panels has a smaller piece of the leaf filigree missing, while two panels have the larger leaf filigree pieces missing. The metal also has some wear along the spine. There also appears to be slight lean in the shade if you look hard enough. I believe this comes from one of the support pieces that holds the slag glass. It has a slight arch to it. The top of the lamp shade has a metal crown. Doesn’t appear to be bent or damaged. The shade measures 17 1/2″ in diameter by 9″ high. The base is in good shape. Structurally it has no issues. Cosmetically, The paint has a good amount of flaking on it. It stands 21 1/2 high on its own without the shade. The base is 7 3/4 in diameter. There is a stamp on the bottom which is 1672. I could not find any information on this stamp. The total height of the lamp with the shade is 22 1/2 high. There are no marks from any of these makers on this lamp, with the exception of “1672″ stamped into the bottom of the base. It’s all original, untouched and the craftsmanship is something to be admired. It’s not perfect, but it’s A very unique and beautifully colored lamp that would look amazing anywhere in your home. Please look at the pictures provided carefully to get a better idea of condition. I do my best to list everything as accurate as possible, but I occasionally miss some details.
