Antique SLAG GLASS TABLE LAMP scenic w/ornate goth base 25 1/2 tall. Up for sale I have this amazing gorgeous ANTIQUE SCENIC SLAG GLASS TABLE LAMP with a unique heavy ornate base SLAG GLASS SHADE has four sides with 8 panels there are no markings that I could find on the base or the SHADE TABLE LAMP is 25 1/2″ tall to top of finial by 6 1/4″ square at the base SHADE is 9 1/2″ tall by 15 1/2″ round at the bottom TABLE LAMP is in excellent antique used condition when considering the age there are no chips or cracks in the SLAG GLASS however there are some imperfections in the metal scenic work from over the years two of the panels have some missing metal work on a tree and one panel has one of the boaters that is broke off the fancy ornate base looks like it consists of several different metals and had some paint on parts of it at one time that has worn off over the years (looks amazing as is beautiful patina) aged beautifully LAMP works perfectly with a three way switch on the fixture I was not expecting to see the glass change so much when turned on to a gorgeous sunset or sunrise!! Morgan & Sons Leaded Lamp, Slag, Stained Glass Shade, Arts Crafts, Handel Lamp Era
Up for consideration is a very nice and early Morgan & Sons leaded glass lamp. This is a great looking Morgan and very early. The lamp stands at 23 tall to the top of the finial. The shade is 15 in Diameter. The best about this lamp is the shade and base are not a marriage even tho most makers shades and bases are interchangeable. This shade and base are meant to be together on the day it was made. The Morgan base is very nice and all original with a nice bark brown patina with a pair of Harvey Hubbell sockets with original mica interiors and acorn pulls. The base has matching style Cabochons half round design matching the leaded shade. Morgan bases are rarer then there shades. Most Morgan shades you see for sell if you can find one will have a base from another maker. The Leaded shade is very nice 15 Dia with great color that really fires up as you can see. The skirt has the half round glass Cabochons that match the style of the base. There has been 4 panels that have been replaced. The repair looks to be very old and very well done. There are about 7 small heat cracks around the skirt of the shade most are in the half rounds. I took a lot of pictures which is part of the description. A hard to find lamp even with the repairs this is a amazing and rare Morgan. Any questions please ask. Antique Victorian 6-Panel Blue Stained Slag Glass Lamp Shade
Listing is for the item you see pictured, (1) Antique Victorian 6-Panel Blue Stained Slag Glass Lamp Shade. Outside measurements: 8-3/4″ inches by 7-5/8″ inches by about 5-3/4 tall. The hole at the top measures exactly 0.44in. Structurally the shade is in pretty good condition. It is pretty old. Either way, this is a awesome piece with great potential. None of the glass is broken. Not sure what is is made of, top cap is definitely brass, the other metal looks to be lead or diecast and at one point was either brass plated or painted or both at some point in time. Antique Whaley Leaded Slag Stained Glass Prairie Table Lamp Handel Duffner Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. While I hesitate to assign a maker there, I do believe this to be a J A Whaley prairie style leaded glass table lamp. It is a very cool and very well made lamp with a very nice geometric design in a flat prairie style or pagoda looking form. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here and as you can see from them the lamp displays extremely well and would look awesome in any setting. The shade is composed of deep caramel white pieces mixed with dark green ones to give off just the right amount of contrast. The glass is just beautiful and the design is totally arts & crafts. In terms of size, this is a standard sized table lamp with a 16 1/2″ diameter shade that stands 20 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition, I see one or two small cracks, but nothing serious and no replaced pieces. The lobed form base is why I believe this to be a Whaley lamp, but neither it nor the shade is signed so the true maker may never be known. What it is is a 100% old and authentic lamp, from the early 1900′s, in fine original condition. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. J A Whaley is not as well known as Duffner or Handel, but they made some awesome lamps and this is one of them! If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine.
