VTG Frankart Art Deco Nouveau Boudoir Lamp Slag Glass Stained Lady Naked Woman
This is a beautiful vintage Art Deco style boudoir lamp. The slag glass is all in great condition the edges were left unfinished, but dont seem to be sharp. The lamp is 16T to the top of the glass and 10.75T to the top of the bulb socket. This is definitely an older piece the base has been recently repaired and painted. It is 7 x 6.5. Almost all the items I sell are either vintage or antique and have seen decades of use. With that in mind, please expect a baseline of wear & possibly soiling. The lamp stands 23 1/2″ in height and the base is 7″ in diameter. It has been newly rewired with a period style cord & plug and is ready for use in your home. Antique Original Authentic Tiffany Studios Acorn Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. Like most things Tiffany, not all are created equal. Even with their acorn lamps, it all comes down to the glass. This is an example of one of their very best ones. The shade is made entirely out of Tiffany glass and the colors are outstanding. I have seen many of versions of their acorn lamp and most are not that impressive. But not this one. You can see by just looking at it that this is one of their special ones. The mottling and color selection is just outstanding with deep greens in the background and bright oranges in the acorns. All are made with Tiffany mottled glass! I will let my pictures do most of the talking here, since if you are familiar with Tiffany acorns you will not need me to describe this one any more than I already have. Suffice it to say that if you have ever wanted one of these….. A nice, clean, completely original one, this is your chance. This lamp came right out of a house and is 100% original. All original and non-replaced glass, original 534 base with its original Bryant mica sockets and turn keys, and ORIGINAL CAP….. Yes, ORIGINAL 100% guaranteed Tiffany cap! Some specifics: 16″ shade, 22″ tall. Signed with the “long” Tiffany Studios New York tag, and numbered 1485. Maybe 5 or 6 pieces of glass with hairlines in them, but NO REPAIRS and NO REPLACED GLASS. 5 has most of them in it. These cracks are really rather minor and I would not even try to replace them… Even if you could…. Which would be pretty hard since this is Tiffany glass made only in their factory. Original wiring down through the stem, then replaced with period style cloth braided cord coming out the hole (you can get the rest of this replaced if you want to, but I left the original wiring in there to show how original this lamp really is). If you have ever wanted a great example of a true Tiffany Studios acorn lamp made with outstanding Tiffany glass in completely original condition, this may be the one for you. Thanks, and please see my other listings for other great lamps from this period. It has just become too difficult and costly to do so effectively. It is actually much better for both of us this way as they will fully guarantee it to get there without damage and if something happens they will 100% stand behind it without any claims hassle. I have worked with this UPS Store over many years and they do a great job with things like this. You are also more than welcome to come and get it yourself, or if we are close I can meet you somewhere with it. Handel 3 socket lamp with Magnificent Old Slag glass Shade
Handel 3 socket lamp w/ Magnificent Old Slag glass Shade. The lamp has three Hubbell sockets with Acorn pull chains. The lamp is signed Handel as shown on bottom and has been recently rewired. The shade is a gorgeous orange poppy with white and green colors. The shade has no broken or cracked pieces that I could find. Note: there is an inner tab (pictured but broken off) where the shade had a signed label and could not be read. The consensus is that it was probably made by Handel or Gorham, you be the judge.
