Bradley & Hubbard Lamp. Presented for your consideration is this beautiful slag glass lamp made by Bradley & Hubbard. The base features a leaf-like design around the top of the base with a drape pattern around the bottom of the stem. The bottom of the base is marked with Bradley & Hubbard Mfg. The original bronze coating is still intact with minimal wear. Apl’d For is marked at the top of the base. The shade has 8 panels of caramel colored slag glass with 8 smaller panels underneath each larger panel. A beautiful, ornate filigree is over the top of each panel. Inside edge is marked with Bradley & Hubbard Mfg. There are 2 pull chain sockets and a small finial that complete the lamp. This beautiful lamp would make a great addition to any antique or vintage lighting collection! A great lamp to use everyday! Very light wear on the base. No dents or dings in the metal. However, there are two very small cracks in the filigree over one panel of glass. No chips or cracks in the glass. Overall in EXCELLENT condition. Please refer to the photos for the best details. Signed Handel Art Nouveau Table Slag Glass & Filigree Lamp c. Signed Handel Art Nouveau Table Slag Glass & Filigree Lamp, circa 1900. We feature a growing selection of Oriental, Chinese and Ethnic antiques. FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is a fine antique Handel slag glass and metal overlay lamp, c. The solid bronze base is marked “Handel”, and stands 24 tall from base to finial. The 16-panel slag glass & filigree shade measure 17.5″ wide and 8″ high. Though unsigned, the shade is a well-known Handel shade. It is missing one flat panel on the bottom perimeter, which would be a relativel easy replacement, however, it should be noted that the leaves in the perimeter panels are painted green within the filigree, so the replacement piece will need to be painted to match. It has a lip with pliable metal, so the piece (once cut to the proper size) will be easy to reinsert. Otherwise, the lamp is in superb original condition. It retains its original acorn pull chains and three socket cluster. There are no flaws to the other glass panels, or losses to the filigree. The acorn finial and heat cap are original, and all have a nice, rich patina. The wiring appears safe, but was likely last updated in the 1970s. This quote is for the Continental U. Antique Leaded Stained Slag Glass Arts & Crafts Unique Handel Table Lamp
Here’s a nice example of a Unique/Handel leaded glass table lamp with an incredible looking floral boarder shade. 24″ tall, 18″ diameter shade. Great looking parasol style design with nice with a colorful floral apron with what look to be poinsettias with multiple green leaves all around. I see a few small cracks here and there, but nothing serious. The beautiful triple falcon base is one of Handel’s better designs and was usually reserved for their nicer painted shades, but this one was used for this great poinsettia shade and it looks awesome with it. In fact the leading on the shade has a brass colored finish that matches the base exactly. Before you ask, I will note here specifically that neither the base nor the shade is signed. This was common at the time, as was using Unique shades on Handel bases. The glass and design are just beautiful and will enhance any area that this lamp is put in. Antique 1920s-1930s Curved/Bent Slag Glass Lamp/Light Shade/Estate Find
A local Estate find! Slag glass lamp shade/light shade. Its Beautiful but does have some damage. Note: Please look at the pics closely and carefully. There are some small chips on the bottom side of the glass panels where the metal tabs hold the glass in, most of these shades have this issue, which is not visible from the top, and is not Distracting at all. One glass panel is cracked near the corner. One small piece of filigree is missing. The painted finish shows some wear/ paint loss. It has some removable paint splatters where house painters did not cover the lamp when they painted back in the day, it simply needs cleaning. The shade measures 8 1/2″ tall x 16″ at the widest point across the bottom. Antique Vintage Eight Panel Slag Glass And Metal Lamp Shade Intricate Design
The top opening is 3 1/8 inches. Across the bottom of the shade measures 15 1/8 inches. It is 7 1/2 inches tall. It is in very good condition, all eight panels of glass are intact, as well as the intricate metal design on each panel. On the bottom edge of the shade, each panel was soddered together, two joints are intact and six have seperated slightly (see photos for the difference between an intact and seperated one). This doesn’t affect the beauty or function of the shade. Hope you have a lamp that can light this beautiful shade!
