Here is a stunning old brass lamp with a touch of green slag glass. The art nouveau style comes out in the detailed bridge style arms that hold the 2 sockets. The shade was torn and unusable, you should be able to find one at any big box store. The cord has been replaced with a vintage look replacement. THE COLORS IN THE GLASS CREATE A COLORFUL BACKGROUND FOR THE OUTDOOR SCENE IN THE METAL OVERLAY. WHEN THE LAMP IS OFF THE COLORS IN THE PAINT STAND OUT, BUT WHEN THE LAMP IS ON THE METAL OVERLAY CREATES A SILHOUETTE AGAINST THE COLORFUL PINK AND BLUE SKY WITH THE GREEN LAWN. THE LAMP SHADE IS A 1910′S, 3 DIMENSIONAL WORK OF ART. THERE IS ONE GLASS PANEL PICTURED IN THE 11TH PHOTO THAT HAS MANY DEEP NATURAL LINES IN THE GLASS AND WE ARE UNSURE IF THERE ARE ANY HAIRLINE CRACKS. ALL OF THE OTHER PANELS ARE SMOOTHER AND IT IS EASY TO TELL THAT THERE ARE NO FLAWS IN THE GLASS. THE METAL SHADE FRAME IS IN THE ORIGINAL PAINT AND THERE IS SCATTERED CHIPPING AND A SEAM IN THE METAL HERE AND THERE. (THE SEAM IN THE TRUNK IN THE 6TH PHOTO IS THE MOST NOTICABLE ONE) THE FRAME IS STRONG! THE BASE IS ORIGINAL TO THE SHADE AND THERE IS SOME DIRT STUCK IN THE EMBOSSED DECORATION. THE SHADE SLIPS ONTO THE TOP OF THE BASE AND THEY FIT PERFECTLY TOGETHER. THE BASE IS VERY HEAVY AND IT KEEPS THE UMBRELLA SHADE FROM TIPPING.
