Antique Miller Working 1920′s Painted Scenic Slag Glass Table Lamp- Double Light
ANTIQUE MILLER WORKING 1920′S PAINTED SCENIC SLAG GLASS TABLE LAMP – BLUE + LAVENDER SLAG GLASS – RIDGED COLUMN, WAVE PATTERN ON BASE – DOUBLE SOCKET, PULL CHAIN. This ANTIQUE MILLER SCENIC SLAG GLASS TABLE LAMP is in heavy cast metal, and is in working order, but might be best to rewire it. This lamp had been painted during the’40′s, in various colors, following the contours of the metal castings of both the stand, base and shade. The shaped shade is lined with curved slag glass, with the glass having striations of blue, lavender and beige. Strangely, when lit, the lavender turns a warm color. The shade is six sided, and has an open-work scene of apple trees, vegetation, and a waterfront cottage with dock along a waterway. This scene is repeated on each of the six panels. All panels are joined by a ribbed frame with a scallop-shaped border and openwork top. There is the original pointed finial, which had also been painted. The column is ribbed, with decorative detailing. The base has a cast outer border in a wave pattern. This lamp has a double socket, with pull chains. One chain is a replacement, and is slightly longer then the other. This chain tends to stick in the’off’ position. Due to the heavy weight, the lamp and the shade will need to be sent separately. Condition: In working order, but it might be best to rewire it. This lamp had been painted during the’40′s, and has several overall chipped areas. In addition, one of the pull chains is a replacement, and is slightly longer then the other. ANTIQUE PURPLE SLAG GLASS LAMP/BEAUTIFUL SCENIC OVERLAY. This outstanding example stands 22 1/4 tall, the shade is 141/2 wide. The base is 6 1/2 wide. It is is in overall excellent condition. I tried to capture the beautiful purple color but was unable to capture it. The lamp is extremely heavy , the cord and plug are good and was probably rewired at one point and a newer socket was used. If you are looking for a statement lamp , this is it! There are some numbers or letters on the base which I cant read. Vintage Tiffany Style Stained Slag Ripple Glass Landscape Scenic 14 Lamp Shade. Today we are pleased to offer for sale a wonderful artisan made stained glass lamp shade! This attractive shade is made in the Tiffany style with colorful pieces of stained, ripple, and slag glass set against clear glass with black grout, making a beautiful mosaic of a natural outdoor scene on all four sides. The central scene is water reaching out the the horizon where it meets blue sky, with textured trees on the left, grasses and flowers in the foreground, and green/yellow/gray clouds at the top. The shade has four sides, trapezoidal, with four metal edge pieces, four bottom pieces, a perforated square cap and a decorative metal finial. The inside of the shade is lined with a layer of clear glass (which the slag glass is affixed to), giving the piece weight and protection for the glass mosaic pieces. The inside of the shade retains a mounting fixture with a threaded thin pipe, all of which can be removed to customize it to your needs. This shade is in very good, used, vintage condition. There are no breaks or missing pieces. There is one section that has a bit of oxidation on the bottom edge of the shade, as well as a few other smaller spots. One of the side spines is slightly loose at the point where is joins the top ventilated cap but the shade is sturdy. Please review all photos before purchasing. This lamp is in Good working condition. I plugged the lamp in and all 3 sockets work as they should. You pull a chain to turn on 1 or all 3 sockets. One socket is missing its metal outer casing. The finial is also missing on the lamp. The shade is in good condition for its age. The shade has a 6 panel scenic look. The scene is of a cabin with a lake or pond and trees. There are 2 types of slag glass in the shade. There is a blue slag glass for the lake and a purple slag glass for the sky. There is 1 piece of slag glass missing in the shade (please see picture). All of the other slag glass pieces are in Good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a little separation in one of the metal panels on the top (please see pictures). I could not find a signature in the shade. The lamp base is just beautiful. The base is in the form of an oak tree with its roots on the bottom and limbs going up the trunk. Antique Scenic Overlay Slag Glass Lamp Bradley Hubbard Handel Miller Era
This listing is for the scenic slag glass lamp pictured. The lamp features a very ornate, bulbous base with an excellent original finish, sockets and pulls. The scenic shade is very unique. I’ve never seen another one in this design. It has 16 glass panels with the upper ones being caramel/green and the bottom border panels being blue. Also unique is the way the panels are held in. Many of these lamps have folding tabs that hold the panels in place but this one actually has full length dividers that are brazed into place making the panels solid and without gaps. The filigree design is missing one small tree in the center on a few of the panels. This is not very noticeable but PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES> The lamp has good proportions at 23″ tall with the shade being 18″ wide. This lamp is 22 1/2 to the top of the. Finial and the shade is 17″ in diameter and 8″ tall. The shade has six slag glass panels with six smaller glass panels. The colors are gorgeous in shades of green, yellow, blue, purple and pink. There is beautifully detailed scenic overlay, the lamp has double sockets with pull chains. The condition of the shade is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. The filigree has no missing pieces. The base is also in excellent condition, at some point in time someone painted the underside of the base with gold paint.
