Antique Arts & Crafts Matte Green Pottery Lamp with Slag Glass Shade Weller McCoy
This is a really sweet old vase to lamp conversion. Vase is believed to be by Weller but we will welcome your opinion on that. It is quite large at 11″ Tall x about 6.5″ diameter. It comes as pictured with a really nice, ornate slag glass shade from the same era that was clearly finished to match the lamp. All work looks to have been done many years ago. There is some finish wear on the lamp cap as well as the vase itself. Very cool patina overall. I would also mention the vase is a darker green in person. The light in the room washed it out a bit in the pictures. The vase shows no cracks or damage and is unsigned. Shade also has no cracked glass and looks phenomenal with it’s caramel and red colored glass. Really cool piece when lit. Hampshire Pottery, Lamp Base, Leaded, Slag, Stained Glass Shade, Handel Lamp Era
Up for consideration is a very rare and fine Hampshire Pottery Squat Bulbous 1905 Matt Green Glaze lamp base. What a great base, These are very hard to come by and this one has some great hardware. The Hampshire pot is signed and numbered on the bottom. The green Matt finish is fantastic. There are no chips or lose to the finish. On the bottom you see where there are minor cracks where the bottom feet are. These are very shallow and are caused by the firing process they are not damage. I took a picture of the inside of the pot to show there are no cracks inside. The pot is 6 tall and about 11 1/2 in Diameter. The hardware cluster ball riser and wheel are bronze. The upright is brass along with the oil font. The three sockets are the hard to fined 250v Hubbell screw cap and have there original interiors and insulators with Acorn pulls. The base has been wired with brown rayon cloth covered wire and old plug. Its been tested and all sockets pull smooth and work great. The base is around 19 tall. The wheel is for a 4.25 aperture shade opening. I took a lot of pictures which is part of the description. They also show measurements also.
