Vintage leaded amber slag glass ceiling light, 18″ diameter, 11″ high with glass globe, brass chain and copper tone metal ceiling cap. This lamp is probably about 25-30 years old, nicely and solidly made and designed with nice details like the embossed metal band near the top and the embossed decorative brass mounts between the larger curved sections of glass. The wiring is good and lamp works, as you see in our photos. This amber and cream swirl in the slag glass is exceptionally pretty lit or unlit- lit is really has lovely color and sparkle. It measures 12-1/2″ in diameter by 6″ tall with a 4 fitter and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs except for one panel that has a tight crack from side to side as shown. Because of the beautiful deep colors and quality of the glass I would just live with it as is since it’s really not that noticeable. Offered for sale is an antique , all original slag glass lamp with 6 panels and a metal overlay. The lamp measures 19.5 tall and weighs 11.5 lbs. The shade is 15.5 in diameter. Much internet research did not reveal the maker as shown with the pictured hallmark-looks like back to back B’s with a cross on top. Any info about this hallmark would be appreciated. Regardless, this is a great example of the beautiful American workmanship that went into bringing the “new” electricity into the home at the turn of the 1900′s.
