BEAUTIFUL cast metal shade with lots of detail. This lamp is Art Nouveau designed to look like a stylized flower bouquet in a vase. The shade is the flower canopy. This lamp is signed E. Antique 8 Panel Bent Slag Glass Palm Trees Design Electric Table Lamp -works
Antique Bent Slag Glass Lamp. Beautiful antique bent slag glass lamp. The heavy spelter base features a tulip design around the top of the base and an ornate pattern around the stem. The base is completed with two brass turn key sockets and a finial to hold the shade in place. The shade has 8 panels of light green slag glass with smaller alternating caramel colored and white slag glass panels underneath each. There are strips of spelter separating each panel and filigree over the bottom half of each panel. The filigree over the caramel glass has an ornate design while the filigree over the light green glass has a palm tree design. In the center of the palm trees is a church. Nice, intricate detailing is present throughout the lamp. Guaranteed to be antique. At the time of listing the lamp is in WORKING condition. This great looking lamp would make a wonderful addition to any antique lamp or lighting collection! Great for every day use! In VERY GOOD condition, but here is a crack and small chip of missing glass at the top of one of the glass panels and one of the small connector strips has lifted away from the top. The lamp has a slight golden look, very beautiful.. No cracks or chips in the slagglass, the shade has two tiny repairs, because of age see pictures, not at all noticable. 2 bulbs in this lamp that work individually with chains for on/ off.
