This is an early 1900s metal lamp (looks to be bronze but I cannot be certain) designed in the Art Deco style in USA. The shade is created from pink Slag glass with ornately decorated banding. There is some blue ish corrosion to the feet suggesting it is an alloy of copper so brass or bronze etc. Completely rewired with braided 3 core Italian cable, brass B22 switched bulbholder and UK 3A plug. Antique Arts Crafts Slag Glass Ornate Scenic 12 Panel Lamp Signed Miller Co 1920
This is a beautiful and ornate Miller Lamp Co 12 panel lamp from the early 1900′s. The lamp features a scenic overlay shade and colored curved glass to accent the scene. The shade looks to be all original and the glass is unbroken. The base looks to have been refinished at some point but matches the shade pretty well. The shade rests on a Pittsburgh type support and the base has 2 working sockets. The base has an interesting cord port that I have not seen on many lamps. Overall, this is a great looking lamp from the Arts and Crafts Era. PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES AS THEY ARE THE BEST REPRESENTATION> Lamp is signed on the bottom of the base. Lamp is approx 21.5 tall. Art Nouveau Miller-b&h-handel- Era Green Stained Slag Glass Lamp 21 8 Panel
Shows age, wear, patina and minor dings and light scratches. Lamp base shows oxidation, but is very solid and could be cleaned up. Cord was replaced a long time ago. The shade is in very nice shape with normal age and wear, light oxidation. One panel shows a crack (pictured) that appears to be pretty old. Could turn to the back without really noticing, or have it repaired. I don’t see any other obvious cracks or damage. It is a very nice shade. Antique A&R Art Nouveau Bent Slag Panel Glass Lamp & Shade Bradley Hubbard Type
Antique A&R Art Nouveau Bent Slag Panel Glass Lamp & Shade Bradley & Hubbard, Edward Miller, H E Rainaud Type. It is made of a spelter alloy metal with a bronze finish. The shade has flowers with original yellow paint. It measures about 20″ tall to top of finial; the base spelter part alone is 13 1/4″ long and bottom is 7 across. The 6 bent caramel slag panel shade is about 6 1/2″ high and 16 3/4″ wide. Bottom is marked A&R Co with number 00 & 8. The 2 bulb socket cluster is original and marked Bryant with the original pull chains. A&R Co was located at Newark NJ and the lamps are same style and quality as B&H and all the other famous lamp makers. One of the panels has a couple cracks but there are no chips or missing pieces of glass. The metal filagree and base have no cracks or chips, there is some age wear to the finish. Bradley Hubbard Leaded Slag Glass Antique Vintage Arts Crafts Lamp Handel Era
That’s an unbelievable savings as well. This is not a common lamp by any stretch and i have only owned to in my 25 years of collecting and dealing. The glass in this shade is very nice and extremely vibrant and This is a full sized lamp in that its measuring 23 inches tall and the shade being 19 inches wide. The base is properly signed Bradley and Hubbard underneath please see photo, and its in original patina with all four period Hubbell sockets sockets with acorn pulls matching one another and in fine working order. These sockets alone are worth 200-250 dollars folks. There is no damage at all to the very heavy base. As for the shade that is also in very nice overall original condition. Great quality glass certainly Murano as being the maker and as you can see it lights up incredible. All the filligree present and accounted for as well as all the glass holding tabs on the inside of the shade. No breaks in the glass nor missing pieces thereof. I bought it as you see it but think it might have been originally a hanging shade but truthfully i could care less due to the rarity of the shade. I guess if anybody wanted to try and convert back into a hanging shade maybe that option exists as well but for now i think its excellent the way it is. All in all a super nice arts and crafts style lamp by one of the best makers there ever was you cant beat that. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this. That’s huge overall savings folks. I have for sale this very very nice leaded lamp on a tree trunk form base. This is a supercool lamp folks and this lamp is in excellent overall condition and needs no excuses. This is a very seldom seen Handel base and its in excellent original condition. Its in fine working order and has been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style plug. No breaks in the metalware and properly signed on the bottom with Handel metal tag. Now onto the shade. The shade in great coloration with vibrant glass and in a excellent arts and crafts/floral design. The shade in excellent original condition and needing zero excuses. The leading all tight and right throughout and no loose glass pieces. Please look at the photos closely folks as this is a very well made shade with quality leading and great glass. A Beautiful Large 20 Antique/Vintage Arts & Crafts Era. Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp Shade w/Fruit Design. It comes with all of the original parts to make it a hanging lamp if so desired. The photos were taken showing it mounted as a shade on a sturdy floor lamp and it could be used accordingly. As you can see from the photos the blue/green/purple glass pieces are iridescent colors. Very cool when lit up! It’s a multi-panel shade that has no damage to the glass. No cracks, chips or breaks, which is rare and hard to find. (We’ll make sure to pack it so it arrives in the same condition). The apples & pears on the sides stick out about 3/4″ to 1″ from the sides. The cherries are flat. Measurements: 20″ diameter (plus the fruit that sticks out on the edge 3/4′-1″). 14tall to the top of the crown. A very helpful eBayer sent us a lovely message about the history of this shade. He said it was made by a company known as Chapman House Tiffanies in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, USA. Dennis Fusaro and Christopher Foster were the original owners. When the company closed in the 1970′s, many of the workers formed the Heart Tiffany company out of New London, Connecticut about 20 miles north of Old Saybrook. Thanks for the great info!
