SLAG GLASS RETICULATED PUTTI SQUIRREL LAMP SHADE Art Nouveau RARE
This six panel lamp shade has six white and purple slag glass panes held in place by metal tabs and a squirrel motif metal frame. The panes transform into a soft amber glow when light is put behind them. One of the tabs is bent and is not supporting the glass and I have not bent this back so as not to stress or weaken the metal prong. I don’t know what type of metal it is but my guess is lead. This is a very heavy piece. It appears to have once had a decoration in at least one place that has been broken off. Please see close-up photo of this particular section. It is approximately 11″ across at the base and 3 1/2″ across at the top. The metal is fragile and prone to bending. The glass is in pristine shape, no chips/cracks. I do not know the origin of this piece. Guaranteed to be well-packed to arrive in the condition pictured. Antique Victorian Slag Stained Leaded Glass Oil Or Gas Table Lamp Shade
This is a beautiful slag glass shade with leaded panels and could be possibly Handel or Bradley and Hubbard. Measures 20″ corner to corner and 15″ across side to side. Takes a 4 fitter. Beautiful early shade probably for a gas or oil table lamp. Great original shape and finish, but two pieces have tight hairlines but they are nearly invisible. Does not really effect it. All solid and ready to go. Just the way you want to find them. Don’t let this one get away. Mission Oak Lamp With Slag Glass Shade
Here is a period Mission Style lamp, c 1915 – 1920. Working condition, no damage at all to the shade or the wood base. Primary wood appears to be oak. Shade has metal frame-work with caramel colored slag glass. The wire appears to have been changed in the 60s or 70s. Lamp is in working condition. The lamp does have one tiny ouchie that doesn’t seem to effect the integrity or structural support. See photos, photo # 8; there’s a small chip of wood missing on one of the shade’s supporting “arms”, and, at the very top of the shade, the metal framework has separated a very small amount, its visible in the photos. The metal separation does not effect the structural integrity and likely can just be put back in place. Otherwise, I don’t see any other problems. To turn it on or off, there is a pull chain. Please look all the photos over carefully. This would go well with almost any décor. These are getting pretty hard to find esp in this condition. No international sales, domestic sales only. Antique H. A. Best Lamp Co. 2 Socket Gold 5 Panel Caramel Slag Glass Table Lamp
This is an original antique heavy cast metal (possibly iron) table lamp with the original matching five curved slag glass panel shade. The lamp is in very good original condition and is working. It was rewired at some point, and the cord does look old but is in good condition. However, because of age, all electrical components should be inspected by a professional before use. The gold finish appears original and has some typical wear from age and use (chips, scuffs, scratches, worn spots) and an aged patina overall. The shade frame has been re-soldered in a couple areas and the repairs are not obvious. The entire piece is sturdy, solid, and fully functional. A couple of the metal tabs that hold the glass on the inside of the shade have been replaced, and there are still a couple missing, but all glass panels feel secure. The glass panels are in excellent condition with no visible cracks or chips. On the lamp base, there are a couple cracks in the metal socket covers and the cap on top of the lamp is slightly bent, but is still functional and could be straightened if needed. There are no other cracks, repairs, or other major damage on the shade or base. The original finial is intact. The bottom of the base is marked H. The lamp stands 23″ tall and the shade measures about 17″ in diameter. The item “Antique H. A.
