Up for consideration is a very nice Duffner Kimberly floral Hanger. The shade is 27Dia. Hanging length 43 but can be shortened to your desired length. This shade is shown on page 231 of the Mosaic shades vol. 2 Paul Crist book. The shade is in very nice condition with a few scattered heat cracks which is common in these old shades. No repairs or replaced glass. Cracks are tight no loose glass. Fantastic Duffner glass choice in this shade. Really fires when lite. The hardware is all Duffner with a 6 socket Duffner cluster and a Duffner ceiling canopy with large heavy bronze chain. The shade has been rewired with period style brown cloth wire. 25 WILKINSON Lamp Base #251 w Top Ring slag leaded stained, Handel, Bradley & Hubbard era (BASE ONLY – NO SHADE). For Sale is an authentic, antique Wilkinson art nouveau and/or Victorian lamp (BASE ONLY, NO SHADE) from the early electric era suitable for a slag, leaded, or stained glass lamp shade. Larger Size: This base is quite tall at 25 inches so you could use A LARGER THAN AVERAGE DIAMETER SHADE with it. Therefore, it will fit many or most all Wilkinson leaded stain glass shades and also will fit Wilkinson slag glass/art glass shades provided the shade has the proper opening diameter of approx. 3 or 3 1/8 inches. This base is most definitely 100 years old or more since the Wilkinson Company ceased operations by 1915. BASE ONLY, NO SHADE: The glass lamp shade shown at the end of the photos is NOT included. The top ring or heat ring measures approx 3″ or 3 1/8″ therefore it will fit most if not all other Wilkinson lamp shades, as these Wilkinson component parts are most often interchangeable. Add your own shade, and you will then have a complete Wilkinson lamp! Measurements: Lamp base is 25 inches tall to top of finial. Round bottom base measures 8 3/8 inches across. Top heat ring/shade holder approx 3″ or 3 1/8″. All measurements are approximate. Note #1: Please VIEW ALL PHOTOS as they are a very important part of the description. I displayed the lamp base with a genuine Wilkinson shade (see photos), but ONLY FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES (shade is not included). You must supply YOUR OWN LAMP SHADE. Up for consideration is a Rare Duffner Kimberly Snapdragon leaded glass lamp. These lamps don’t come up often and here is your chance to get a real beauty. Pictures do not do this lamp justice. This is a large lamp with the shade being 21 1/2 Dia. The base stands 26 to the top of the finial. Duffner used really fantastic glass in this shade with some tight heat cracks which are very common in these orig. No loose or replaced glass or missing glass. The base has a 3socket cluster with acorn pulls. The base has a wonderful brown patina. The lamp has been rewired with period brown cloth wire and old plug. Suess Ornamental Bronze Lamp Base, Leaded, Slag, Stained Glass Shade, Handel Lamp
Up for consideration is a Rare all orig. Solid Bronze Suess Ornamental Tree Trunk Base. This by far is the best base made by Suess or any other company. Stands 23″ tall and has a massive 13″ Dia Foot. The cap is stamped with a number on the inside. Very heavy and with its orig. Untouched patina this is a keeper for that Suess shade you might have on a lesser quality base. The base has its orig. Harvey Hubbell sockets with there orig. Mica inserts and Acorn pulls. The patina is very nice must see in person pictures just doesn’t do this base justice. No repairs or cracks. The only minor issue is there is a small area where the foot is raised on the edge as shown in the last picture. Does not affect the base at all. Base has been rewired with period style cloth wire and old Hubbell Plug. These bases don’t come up often in there orig. Due to the size and weight. Up for consideration is a very rare example of a Duffner Kimberly Trumpet Vine or some call it a cabbage leaf. The glass in this shade is just amazing. The pictures do not do this shade justice. The shade is 28 with Duffner hardware all the way to the ceiling canopy. A few very tight heat cracks. Glass is all orig. The shade will hang 42. 6 socket Duffner cluster with Wonderful patina all matching hardware. The shade is shown on page 234 and 235 in Paul Crist Mosaic shades Volume 2 book. Wilkinson Leaded Slag Stained Glass Handel Duffner Tiffany Era Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is an example of what I would call a better than average Wilkinson floral boarder leaded lamp. It is a rarer version of one other their tri-floral boarders that were apparently very popular at the time. The reason I say this is a better than average one is that this particular design used bent glass in the shade and this was harder to do and more time consuming than just using flat glass pieces. In addition, take a look at the purple background glass that was used to highlight the floral boarder. This is the best glass that I have ever seen in one of these and really accentuates the look of the these flowers. In terms of size, the lamp stands 25″ tall and the shade is 18 1/2″ in diameter. I see two or three small cracks in the shade, but nothing serious. No replaced pieces and no repairs. The base has its original brass washed finish (which perfectly matches the gold wash on the leading), old Hubbell sockets with their original porcelain interiors and acorn ended pull chains, and an original cap and finial. It is also stamped with the model number 251. The lamp has been wired with period style black cloth cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. It has just become too difficult and costly to do so effectively. It is actually much better for both of us this way as they will fully guarantee it to get there without damage and if something happens they will 100% stand behind it without any claims hassle. I have worked with this UPS Store over many years and they do a great job with things like this. You are also more than welcome to come and get it yourself, or if we are close I can meet you somewhere with it. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times.
