Wilkinson Leaded Slag Stained Glass Handel Duffner Tiffany Era Lamp
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is an example of what I would call a better than average Wilkinson floral boarder leaded lamp. The reason I say this is a better than average one is that this particular design used bent glass in the shade and this was harder to do and more time consuming than just using flat glass pieces. In addition, I think the choice of glass for the flowers in this one is particularly nice, with bright pinks, deep reds and unusual granite backed yellows. These colors blend very nicely and make a great overall look. In terms of size, the lamp stands 24″ tall and the shade is 18 1/2″ in diameter. I see two or three small cracks in the shade, but nothing serious. No replaced pieces and no repairs. The base is a better than average 4-lobed version with its original finish and hardware. It is stamped with the model number 288. The sockets are old and matching Weber labeled ones with their original porcelain interiors and ball ended pull chains. The lamp has been wired with period style black cloth cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. Antique Vintage Leaded Slag Stained Glass Suess Handel Duffner Tiffany Era Lamp
I bought this awesome looking, very large, overall floral lamp some time ago believing it to be Suess. It does have many of the characteristics of Suess, but I now believe it to more likely be made by either Colonial Art Glass or. Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. First off let me say that this is a HUGE lamp. It measures 24 1/2″ tall and the shade is 20″ in diameter. The base has a 12 diameter foot. The shade is just fabulous and lights up like you wouldn’t believe. All of the flowers and petals are made with granite backed glass to give them extra fire. Many are actually bent to give the shade its shape. The yellow/caramel background glass works well to highlight these flowers and is a very nice touch. I see 3 or 4 small cracks in the glass, but nothing serious. No replaced glass and no repairs. The base is just outstanding. Solid cast bronze with the best age darkened patina i have ever seen on one. It has what look like its original long Hubbell sockets with their original interiors and acorn ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. Wilkinson leaded glass lamp arts and crafts handel era stained glass slag glass
Up for your consideration is a very fine Wilkinson floral leaded lamp made circa 1909 – 1915. The base is in excellent condition with signature and probably weighs 20+ lbs. The base has been rewired with period silk cord and it has the original satellite pulls. The base has the patented Wilkinson locking heat cap and is signed, Wilkinson Co. One socket is a Hubbell but it looks like the other cover may have been replaced. It does match in patina and is an antique socket cover. The base is 26″ inches tall with a 6 1/4″ inch foot. This is a very hard base to find and has no damage that I can see. The shade messures 19 3/4 inches in diameter. It has a few heat cracks that are barely noticable and one small crack near the heatcap but still shows beautifully (crack can be seen in photo 6). The glass is all original and the shade has a scalloped border which I haven’t seen often. I did not repair anything on the lamp so it’s integrity was not compromised. The shade is featured in Paul Crist’s book, “Mosaics Shades II” on page 266 (see my photo). The lamp is over 100 years old so it is in good shape for its age. Antique Empire Of Chicago 1910 Green Slag Glass Table Lamp Morning Glories on Trellis Open Work Design. Size: 22.5″ t × 18″ at widest point. Beautiful curved marbled green slag glass with morning glories and trellis open work design. One slag panel is cracked and is only noticeable upon close inspection-see picture. Cast metal open work design is gold tone in color. There is a small missing piece of cast metal one work on the top- see picture. Panels are held in via the bottom with folding metal tabs. All tabs look to be present and one table looks replaced. Lamp has two sockets. One socket is missing it’s chain for turning on and off. Lights looks like it may of been rewired at one time. Lamp base surface has wearing from cleaning. Not sure if finial is original or replacement. This item is large, heavy and delicate. Please see pictures and feel free to ask questions. Atq Brass Arts & Crafts Stained Glass Slag Glass Wide Brass Filigree Chandelier
Gorgeous Arts and Crafts – transition to Art Nouveau hanging suspended ceiling chandelier. The fixture is made of heavy brass with wide brass filigree. The stained or slag glass panels are all damage free and are a caramel or yellow/white in color. The wiring appears to be original and should be inspected/repaired/replaced prior to use. The chandelier did work prior to removal from past service. This was originally installed in an Arts and Crafts built style period home in the Buffalo NY USA region circa 1915. Overall drop from ceiling canopy to the bottom of the small satellite shades is 34″, The distance from the ceiling canopy to the top of the large center fixture is 12″, the height of the large center fixture is 8″, the width across the large center fixture at the top which is the widest point is 16″, the distance from the from the top of the large center fixture to the bottom of the satellite fixtures is 15 1/4″, the width of the satellite fixtures is 4 3/4″. The lamp has caramel slag glass panels, that are bent outward near the bottom perimeter, which features an original painted filigree in green and red. The lamp base is signed “Rainaud”, and the lamp shade (and all other parts) are original to the lamp. It has been professionally rewired with a cloth cord, and is ready for immediate use. The piece is 17.5″ in diameter and 8″ tall, the bace base is 23 tall from base to finial. Overall, the lamp is in excellent condition. The shade is free of cracks, chips, restorations, or missing filigree. The base is complete, intact, and stands straight, but has lost much of its original polychrome decoration (paint).
